Hello neighbor Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Icon trailer coupler lock for the Dexter two inch actuators. This guy is a cast and stainless steel construction with a nice black powder coat finish. Now folks, as you can see, 22 pounds of security. No one's gonna want to try to cut through this and get to your trailer, so this will lock down your trailer coupler and deter theft, and it's gonna keep others from hooking up to your trailer as well. It does fit over the Dexter 8.5 liter and UFP XR dash 84 brake actuators.

Now those must have a two inch ball coupler as well to work with this. Now how to use it, well, it's pretty simple. You simply screw off the stainless steel cap here. That's all one solid piece, very heavy duty. It's got an O-ring in here that's gonna keep water and moisture out of here so nothing can get in there and gunk it up, freeze, anything like that.

They give you four keys, they're gonna come with it. They are a half shaped kind of half moon shaped key if you will. They're a solid piece and they're just cut on one edge. Number one, that's gonna make it harder to duplicate these keys, so they give you four of 'em. But number two, it's also gonna help deter theft and everything because picking that style of lock is a lot harder as well.

So once you get the key down in there, you simply rotate it. And then once you rotate it, then you can pull up that center core and then put it inside your coupler and then put it back down. Lock the coupler in place so the lock over the coupler and then simply put the cap back on, screw it down, and then you're ready to go. So very easy design, very simple to use. Again, the O-ring and everything on here.

Keep it all wet and water tight, that way no moisture and stuff get in there. It's gonna make it harder for picking, drilling, those kind of things as well. Like I said, it is 22 pounds. All the fins and everything here are gonna make it to where people aren't gonna wanna try to cut to get through to it. It would just take them so, so long to do it. Now it is made of a hardened cast steel and everything here as far as the lock and the center lock core is all stainless steel and we don't have to worry about it corroding, gunking up over time, anything like that. The powder coat on the exterior is gonna protect against rust, corrosion, UV damage, you know, nicking it, chipping that kind of stuff. Scratches wear and tear. It's gonna be protected from all that with that nice heavy duty powder coat finish. Well folks that will wrap it up has a nice limited lifetime warranty from Icon.
