Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Peterson Round Red Heavy Duty Mini-LED Clearance or Side Marker Light with the Built-In Grommet. Now, this is a small, round trailer light that can functions both as a clearance light and a side marker light when it's properly mounted. It is a rugged rubber construction. Has the built-in strain relief right here, which is very durable in extreme environments.

And this does use LEDs. Basically, actually, this uses one LED. And the LEDs make great replacements for your incandescent lights, 'cause they'll last 50 times longer, and they're more efficient 'cause they'll provide brighter light with less power output. And of course, no bulbs to replace or brittle filament's gonna break. And they do have a lifetime warranty on the LEDs.

Now, as I mentioned, this is a red lens over one red LED. And I am gonna hook this up to some power, just so we can show how bright the light is. So we'll go ahead and hook the connections up. Go ahead and turn on our power. And then, with our connections made right here, you'll be able to see, there's your red light.

Go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and you can see how bright it is. Oops. There we go. Gives off a very bright red light. And go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights.

Turn off our power and disconnect it. Now, this is a recessed mount design. Has a built-in grommet to it. Now, the installation will require a one inch diameter hole drilled at your desired location. It is a two wire design. You can see, it's a single wire here, but then it has the two male bullet connectors on the end that'll make your power and ground connection. This light is DOT, Department of Transportation compliant, PC rated, and made in the USA. It is for a quantity of one light. Operating range is nine volts to 16 volts. And a few dimensions on this, if we measure the diameter including the grommet, is right at one and one eights inches. Just the light itself is about three quarters of an inch. Total depth on it, it's right at about three quarters of an inch deep. And the overall length, from one end to the other, is gonna be right at about eight and three quarter inches long.
