Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4"

This is the second hitch that I purchased from etrailer' First was for my 2012 Kia Sorento and this one for my 2014 Sorento. Delivery was fast. The detailed instructions and videos made installation very easy. There were a few scratches due to rough shipping, but a little touch up paint remedied the problem.

Looks just as good as the day I installed it. No problems.

Hitch is great. Directions were 9 out of 10. Now I could tow my motorcycle trailer and/or carry all of our bicycles. Very Happy. Also very pleased with etrailer- I ordered it Tuesday evening- received it Thursday afternoon, installed it Friday morning- Thanks to the speedy delivery I'm ready for the weekend.101757

Curt has an excellent reputation and this product shows why. The welding and the paint are excellent. The instructions provided are clear, you cannot go wrong. The hitch fits right-in. The hardware is of top quality. The hitch is close to the bumper and shows very well. This will allow me to tow a small utility trailer.138949

After a year, the paint is holding nicely!

I was disappointed that the hitch was sprained apparently during shipment. The box had a hole all the way through it on the passenger side of the hitch - the hitch showed no apparent damage so I did not think I should return it. I could not install it myself. I called etrailer.com and received information from Jena on how to resolve the problem. There was no way I could fix the problem without putting the car on a lift and have the help of a second person. I live in the country and had no help available. I took the car to a tire shop in town. It took 2 men over an hour to install the hitch at a cost of $120. Obviously, that did not make me happy. I did receive excellent service from etrailer.com. The hitch is installed and working well. I installed the trailer light controller myself and it is working correctly. I pleased with the products now that the hitch is installed. I would suggest that Curt put some foam on the ends of their packaging to protect the hitch brackets from being sprained. The box had no cushioning protection for the brackets of the hitch on either end, so when dropped on end the bracket catches the full weight of the hitch. This hitch must have been dropped from the top of a pallet rack or similar situation.

Hyundai Santa Fe

I ordered the hitch and wiring on Monday night around 10 PM. Received the parts Wednesday. Box had a hole in side but there was no damage to the hitch. Installed wiring harness first and then the hitch. It took me maybe 1 1/4 hour to install both. If I had gathered all my tools at once I could have cut the time down by 15 miniutes.125476

Hitch was as easy to install as the video showed on my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. There were two unexpected issues that I ran into during installation. The push plugs holding the plastic panels in place were not as shown in the video, but I figured out to pull down on the center and the plug will come out. Also I needed a 3/4" deep well socket, not a standard socket, because the bolt threads stuck out thru the nut too far for the standard socket to work. Needed to make a quick run to the hardware store to purchase one. 433777

WOW, delivery in just 3 days? Ordered Monday night and arrived Friday. Installed on Saturday and pulling the bikes to the trail on Sunday. Really fast shipping and thanks to my friend with a lift, put this hitch on in less than 30 mins. Had to slightly bend an insignificant piece of metal on my undercarriage but otherwise fit perfect. The hitch was every thing it was advertised to be,and when I called to make sure I was getting the correct fit,the sales person was very polite and helpful. It took me a little longer to install,because those plastic covers back of the fender wells were a little hard to replace.The picture you have of the KIA Sorento is just like mine.Thanks again Daniel157327
