Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Fully welded vehicle trailer hitch is strong and durable. Draw-Tite's Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry standards. The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.Great price, fast/free shipping and perfect fit. Detailed instructions and step by step video from etrailer made the installation smooth and professional.
Delivered fast. Online videos are excellent. A little intimidating to take the back bumper off but with some basic tools and the online videos this went really smooth.
Great instructions on how to install. All around great experience dealing with etrailer.
Order my trailer hitch and received it in 3 days. Instructions where complete. But I was not sure where some of the screws where located on the vehicle, so I Went to YouTube. This guy said that the hitch need some drilling to open up one of the predrilled hole. I was a little hastened be cause of that but it went on whit out a problem. Great deal I would highly recommend it to my friends. By my photo I should of purchased the bracket that holds my 7pin trailer wireing.
Other reviewers have noted how the holes don’t line up, and ours was no exception. Unfortunately my dremel was broken, and instead of replacing it (which was the smart thing to do), I spent 3 hours filing most of the holes to make this fit. Why on earth they didn’t match the hole sizes and location to those on the bumper that I removed is beyond me. If not for that this job would have taken about an hour and saved $350 over the factory install. There’s a helpful YouTube video out there (the guy had to do the same thing to make the bumper fit). I’d still buy this from etrailer- great prices and customer service. This DrawTite hitch is just poorly designed in terms of lining the holes up.
This hitch is first class. Installation was very simple. The instructions were very good, clear, and I only had one tiny hiccup. (on my 2018 Buick Enclave there are two Torx screws not mentioned in the instructions). A GREAT aspect to the Draw-Tite kit is the INCLUDED fishwires for installing the inside bolts!!! Pros, who install these daily, can install on in 30ish minutes. Regular people usually needs 2 hrs… But even going slow and super careful I finished mine in just over ONE HOUR. Having pre-wound fishwires made the install super easy and saved 30+ minutes.
Fast shipping with tracking info was great. Install wasn’t too bad it took me 1 hr 50 minutes from start to finish. I would suggest that before starting you should look at the direction and gather up the tools required to save a little time before you start working on it. I used a floor jack to support the exhaust instead of tying it up which worked out well. Be careful pulling the trim back on the rear wheel the last push in bracket to expose the 7mm bolt is easy to break which I did break on one side but luckily. Have an assortment of push in body connectors so I had what I needed to replace. Everything else about the hitch worked perfect, all holes lined up, all hardware was included with the hitch. Very happy with the purchase…
This fit perfectly for our 2019 buick enclave! Instruction video and customer support was great. We only needed this for a bike rack, but if we ever get a trailer down the road I will definitely order through this site.
I needed a family hauler/commuter vehicle because my dang kids are 6 feet tall now! Traded in my CTS (very hard to do, have a candle light vigil planned) for a Buick Enclave (Awesome second row leg room!) and decided I NEEDED to be able to put our bike carrier on it. Checked around at the local trailer hitch shops = $500+. Checked online and I figured I could do it myself. I like to work on cars. It will be FUN! Placed the order, 3 days later get the email that today is the day, then UPS sends me an apology email that they mistakenly sent my package to Detroit. UPS delivers the next day and the box looked like it had been through Hell, or, you know, Detroit (I'm from Detroit, so I can say these things; you can not say these things; Detroit is AWESOME!). I immediately opened the box to see what was missing from the basketball sized whole in the end, and, to my dismay, NOTHING seemed to be missing. The order was packaged so well, that nothing was damaged or missing, despite UPS's best efforts! There wasn't even a scratch! The hardware was packaged and shrink wrapped to the hitch. I was about to have some FUN! The installation was pretty uneventful, which is probably what you want! The hardest part was worrying. Cracking open a brand new car and "hanging" the exhaust is a bit nerve wracking, but I got through it, and so will you! Just take your time. Speaking of, I think the directions (yes, I read them) said it could be done in 90 minutes. It took me like 3.5 hours, mostly because I had to form a search party for my tools! Don't ask! Also, my darn cat WOULD. NOT. LEAVE. ME. ALONE! Apparently, she likes to work on cars, too! Also, the video installation tutorial was spot on! Watch it! It could save you some grief!
Very dissatisfied. Package arrived in torn packaging. Product was falling out and pieces were missing. This is the second shipment in a week from etrailer.com that has arrived missing parts.
I am not sure why some reviewers put that the hitch didn’t align correctly when mines align perfectly. The only reason I am given it 4 out of 5 stars is because I believe he instructions online were for a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse LS because I have the LT and their are some T20 screws hidden inside the bumper. Near where the top of the paint and bumper meet. One is horizontal and the other vertical. Also my bumper does not come off that easy it had three white clips holding on to it that I had to take off. Other than that the hitch is perfect and the service with strainer is nothing but perfection. I order my hitch bike rack and hitch anti rattle lock from them.
Added hitch receiver to my 2019 Traverse so I could use a hitch mounted bike carrier. The installation instructions and video made it very easy to install. Use caution when removing the Rear Fascia so as not to break the clip holes. Very happy with this hitch.
This company has the best website and customer service I’ve experienced on the net. Follow up emails and instructional videos provided by etrailer were excellent. The hitch went on exactly as shown. I’ve recommended them to friends.
For the most part I have been very happy with this trailer hitch, which I primarily use for a hitch mount bicycle rack. I knocked 1 star off for the following reasons: 1) when received by UPS, the hitch (a significantly heavy chunk of steel), had broken out of it's intended position in what should have been its protective cardboard, and there were a couple of areas where the powder-coated paint was scrapped down to bare steel. (Not exactly what you want to see when you drive in the snow/salt belt.) It took me extra time to re-paint these areas to hopefully get a protective coat of paint back on the steel. This could be the result of careless handling from UPS, but handling also needs to be accounted for in the packaging when it is intended to ship something so heavy and awkward. 2) 1 of 8 bolt holes did not line up. This occurred in the area where a bolt has to screw into a tapped hole in the vehicle frame. The other holes were all dead-nuts on center, but there was no way the last hole was going to accept the bolt without a significant cross thread into the frame. I was able to perform a minor modification to enlarge the oddball hole in the hitch in only 1 direction using a dremel with an abrasive stone wheel. Again, this took extra time on my part which shouldn't have been necessary. 3) The electrical connection just to the left of the hitch receiver prevents me from inserting the safety pin on my bike rack mount. Not a big deal and equally an issue that is caused by the design of the bike rack. Just something to be aware of if your plan is to use a bike rack, and also add electricals. 4) For my 2020 Chevy Traverse, the hitch is fully hidden but accessible from the pop-out door in the rear bumper. This is a great feature, and one of my main reasons for selecting this type of a hitch. The only issue is the convenient bracket for mounting the 7 pin electrical connector interferes with the closure of the pop-out door when the hitch is not being used. I was able to bend the mounting kit to allow a better fit - so seemingly no big deal - just something to keep in mind that some modification may be needed.
Fit perfectly on my 2019 Enclave. Straightforward installation following the video by etrailer.
All is good. I would like to buy an affordable electric bike bike rack.
Wanted to give you some feedback while fresh in my memory. 1) Video instructions provided in the purchase email were awesome. Simple and covered great tips/tricks. 2) There are 4 bolts that needed to be fished inside the cavity of the receiver. There is a small metal plate and bolt that get fished. The small metal plate would be nice to have a little longer so it doesn't spin inside the cavity while trying to tighten nut onto carriage bolt. 3) I had a weld that was too big, not allowing the receiver to properly seat against the vehicle. Receiver on right side stuck out 1/8" from fully seating against vehicle. This would not allow the 2 fished bolts to drop down into their slots. I had to grind the weld down some so it would fit securely against the vehicle. Attached pic is looking down over the weld on the inside right side. I repainted after grinding.Wiring bracket: when I installed the 7 pin wiring harness , it stuck out too far for the hitch cover that attaches to the bumper. Photo shows per instruction, however I spun the bracket 180 so it was indented, thus allowing cover to fit. Maybe something to mention.Again overall, super happy with how fast the receiver was shipped. Looks great. While not been used yet, it was a great experience installing myself.
The Drawtite trailer hitch for my 2018 Chevy Traverse is well constructed and fit well. The printed instructions included with the product are very poor and misleading. At least an internet link to a good installation video could be included. I don't understand why the two carriage bolts that had to be fished through a tiny hole were not just replaced with a welded on nut on the bracket with bolts coming up from underneath. It would make installation much easier. Also, the welded on connector mount could be moved in more and to the left in order to provide more clearance for the safety chains and allow the bumper access cover to fit better.
Your how to videos are great no problems with install.
Great product everything lined right up. Had everything installed in about a hour and fifteen minutes by myself. Not difficult just time consuming. Watch the short video sent with the email from Etrailer and it will make more since than the pdf. Highly recommend seller as they sent multiple emails offering support if you had any questions.
Delivered quickly. Great price. I really appreciated the degree of difficulty guidance given. No problem for me to install. I took it to Laurel Cap World. They did a great job and the hitch fit perfectly. What more can I ask for?
The hitch was easy to put on and works great. It's on my Buick and I love that it is hidden behind the panel and it's out of the way but easy to get to when needed. It works great. I would recommend this hitch.
Product arrived super fast and packed very well. Extremely pleased with this product. Installation was very simple on my 2020 Traverse. Took about 45 minutes. Will definitely be purchasing from this site again!
The fit on the driver’s side was perfect, but the holes on the passenger side were all off approximately 3/16” vertically. This necessitated grinding them for a proper fit. All in all I was quite pleased with the overall installation. I watched your you tube video of the installation so I knew exactly what to expect. I am 70 years old and I performed the entire installation alone in 2 hours start to finish, modifications included. I was also quite pleased with the timely delivery of my order. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend etrailer to my friends.
Very easy install thanks to the helpful video demonstration. I installed this unit on my 2020 Traverse. One little snag I ran into was a glob of weld that was out of place that prevented the hitch from mounting fully flush against the frame. After an easy grind of the the weld glob the job was straight forward. I was nervous about pulling the facia off my brand new car and lowering the exhaust pups but again the video was great and gave me piece of mind. All the hardware worked out perfect as well. Thank you!
