Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount. This is going to slide into your three-inch by three-inch trailer hitch receiver on your vehicle. It's then going to provide this two and 5/16 inch diameter hitch ball to connect to your trailers coupler. This hitch ball does come pre-installed and tucked to the factory specifications. So, it is gonna be a nice, solid connection for you there.
And then this is going to provide an eight-inch drop to fit your application. So if your coupler sits about eight inches lower than your hitch receiver, this is going to make sure that your trailer sits nice and level as you're towing it. This is a solid one-piece forged steel construction. So it's going to give us a 20,000 pound gross towing weight, which is of course the weight of the trailer plus the load included and a tongue weight or down pressure on our hitch ball of 2000 pounds. Our ball mount here, does have this corrosion resistant carbide black powder coat finish.
So it's gonna resist corrosion very well for us. Our ball does have a corrosion resistant chrome plating. So, again it's also going to be a very long lasting option for us. This does come with a limited lifetime warranty for the ball mount itself, the ball not included. This does not include a pin and clip that will hold this into your hitch.
You probably already have one for your hitch, but if not, it's just a standard five eighths inch diameter hole here. So it'll use your standard five eighths inch pin and clip. We've got lots of options available here at etrailer.com. We also have locking pins that will add a little extra security to make sure that no one's able to take off with your ball mount if you're not around. So if you do have a three inch hitch and you're needing to connect to a trailer that sits about, the coupler sits about eight inches lower than your hitch, this is gonna be a nice solid way for you to get that connected.
We do have other options available here at etrailer.com that will still give you that eight inch drop but they have stacked receiver tubes. And so it'll give you more adjustments. So if you are gonna be hauling multiple trailers and you want to be able to quickly adjust from one height setting to another, I would recommend those options. This is gonna be a pretty static feature for you. But if you're only hauling the one trailer, towing the one trailer, this will do a great job for you, making sure that you have a nice solid connection there. So that concludes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
