Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this BulletProof Hitches heavy duty adjustable two-ball mount for your 2.5-inch trailer hitch receiver. Now, this adjustable ball mount has a maximum capacity of 22,000 pounds, so this is going to be ideal for towing just about any type of trailer with your lifted truck. This shank, as I mentioned, is going to slide into your 2.5-inch trailer hitch receiver on your truck. And so this is gonna be ideal for vehicles that have 34-inch to 36-inch clearance from the ground to the bottom of the inside of your trailer hitch receiver tube. Now, the adjustable height is going to let you tow trailers of different heights all with the same truck.
And the hitch ball platform is going to easily slide up and down the channel and it's going to secure with the included pins and clips. Now, typically when I demonstrate ball mounts, I like to show the ease of how the ball platform's gonna slide up and down the channel and how easy it is to swap out the balls. But since this is a larger item, it's a heavier item, I kind of have it sitting here somewhat precariously on my table. I'm not gonna be able to easily demonstrate that for you. But when you have this in your 2.5-inch trailer hitch receiver, this is gonna be very easy to swap out, very easy to adjust the height.
If you have any experience with BulletProof Hitches, you know that everything works very smoothly. The pins and clips sometimes on other products can get bound up in the holes. That's not gonna be the case with this. Everything is going to adjust very easily. So all that to say, you're not gonna be at the back of your truck struggling to get that height adjustment or that ball size that you're looking for.
I currently have this on the 2 5/16-inch hitch ball. If you need to swap it out to the two-inch ball, you just take out the pins and clips and then you just flip this over and you'll get your two-inch ball, then you can set whatever height adjustment that you need. Now, this does have 12 adjustment holes and so this is gonna give you nine mounting positions. This is gonna give you a maximum drop when you have it in this orientation of right at about 19 1/4 inches. And then when you flip this over, you're gonna get a maximum rise of about 19 inches.
The adjustment hole diameter is 5/8 of an inch and the adjustable channel is constructed of 5/16 of an inch thick steel plates. And then you probably can't see it from that position. Let me go back out to my wide view real quick. We also have 1/2-inch thick steel gusset that's actually welded between the shank and the channel. So that's going to brace this mount and it's gonna keep the channel from bending. And then the pins and the clips here are made of heat-treated steel to withstand heavy weight from your load. And they do feature a zinc finish that's going to provide corrosion resistance. So they're gonna hold up really well against the elements. So when you're towing with the two-inch ball, you're gonna have a gross towing weight of 12,000 pounds. With the 2 5/16-inch ball, 22,000 pounds. This has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 3,000 pounds. And if you notice here, the hitch balls are welded directly to the ball platform, giving you that extra sturdiness. And this is made of a heavy duty steel construction. And this features one of my favorite aspects of BulletProof Hitches ball mounts, a textured matte black finish that I think is gonna hold up really well. It's gonna do a great job of protecting this equipment from rust and corrosion and it's also gonna look great on the back of your lifted truck as well. Now, the hitch pin hole diameters on our hitch pin holes here, it's 5/8 of an inch. This does not include a pin and clip. You might already have one, but if you don't have a compatible pin and clip, you would have to pick that up. However, this is obviously an investment that you're making, so I would definitely recommend using a hitch pin lock. And so if you don't have something like that, we do have several options here at etrailer.com to where you can secure this to the back of your vehicle. Now, this adjustable ball mount is going to be compatible with a wide variety of accessories which are sold separately from this. For instance, instead of using the included ball to tow, you could install a weight distribution shank in the channel of the mount to attach your weight distribution system. You could add a clevis or a shackle attachment for off-road recovery operations, or you simply could add a hitch step to help you easily access the bed of your truck. If you're interested in checking out those other options from BulletProof Hitches, just check the related product section of our product page, and we'll have some options there for you that we carry here at etrailer.com from BulletProof Hitches. Now, if you're wondering about measurements, we do have the measurements listed underneath the specs section of our product page. So if you're looking for measurements in regards to my clearance or the size, we do have those listed there for you. And because this mount has, obviously a significant drop, it is recommended that you install a stabilizer kit to help prevent any wobbling and to remove the strain from your hitch receiver. So on your screen, I am including our product number for that kit. You can just take that number, pop it in the search field of our website, that will take you to that stabilizer kit and you can look that over and add that to your order if you find that you're in need of it. This does have a limited lifetime warranty from BulletProof Hitches. And I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
