Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Valcrum threaded aluminum grease cap for the Lippert 9,000 pound to 16,000 pound axles. Now, this part here replaces the grease cap, the O-ring, and the plug on these Lippert axles. Fits the Lippert 9,000 pound axles manufactured after October 1st, 1989. Fits the Lipper 10,000 pound axles, and the Lipper 12,000 to 16,000 pound heavy duty axles. This part will include one cap, one watertight O-ring seal, and the magnetic vnet plug.
Now, this is a direct replacement for the Dexter or Valcrum grease caps. The Dexter part number is 21-36, 21-036, or the K71-148-00. The Valcrum part number it fits is ST-400 prior to the October 2019. Now, we mentioned the plug. It is a magnetic vent plug, and what's nice about that, if you look in the very middle of it, there's a rare earth magnet they use and this will attract the damaging metal particles.
This will help identify problems before they become critical. The cap itself is an anodized gray aluminum alloy, has a clear finish over it to resist corrosion, and the aluminum also helps dissipate heat. The O-ring and then the gasket up front here provides a nice tight seal. It is a threaded cap, so it does install easily, and the outer diameter on these threaded portion is four inches. But that should do it for the review on the Valcrum threaded aluminum grease cap for the Lippert 9,000 pound to 16,000 pound axles.
