Specs:
This universal towing mirror extends your view up to 7-1/2" and limits blind spots for safer navigation while changing lanes, passing, backing up, and parking. The mirror face can be manually rotated or tilted to adjust to your preferred viewing angle.
The mirror installs quickly and easily to either the driver's- or passenger's-side factory mirror. Simply clamp the towing mirror arms around your existing mirror housing, and then use the included textured rubber straps to secure the mirror into place for a vibration-free ride.

Pros - other than an adjustment the second day, I never had to adjust the tension straps again. They were easy to mount and did not interfere with our mirrors folding inward. They weathered three months on the road without issue though I was beginning to worry about the straps becoming brittle. I noticed this once I removed them. Had I kept them, I would have used some silicon to rejuvenate the rubber.
Cons - the only con is they shake. They shake to the point that sometimes I couldn't distinguish what exactly was behind me. I knew there was a vehicle, but the distortion from the vibration prohibited me from getting a clear view of exactly what was behind us.
Impressions - they worked for our trip but I knew I would want something else for our next long trip, so we invested in a Furrion Reviewing Camera.
Great fit for my jeep gladiator! And great price. We tow a travel trailer camper and these work great for the price.
Looks like it will work. I have a 2007 lincoln navigator with a TOW PACKAGE you would think Ford would have ever made a tow mirror. I spent a week phone calls and visits to places including lincoln dealer. This mirror straps on with a tie wrap added to each strap. Every other aftermarket was no luck.if I can see behind my camper I will get 1 for the Right side.
I have owned a few of these types of mirrors over the years and this one is pretty similar to past mirrors in design and function. It does the job of giving you visibility behind you trailer, but there are some downsides to keep in mind. It isn’t the simplest thing to attach to a mirror (but a bit better than some other designs I have had), and no matter what I do, these types of mirrors always have a fair bit of vibration on the highway making it difficult to use (still works, just not perfect to be honest). That said, would buy this again.
They clip on easy to the mirrors. They do vibrate while attached driving some. I would like to up grade to a fixed mirror that pulls out for trailering.
Not for 2015 Highlander. These seem like nice mirrors and I wish I could use them but in my opinion, they do not work for a 2015 Toyota Highlander. I bought them based on an answered question that they would work. Three (or two) major problems. First the shape of the Highlander mirror is such that the thickest part is closest to the car and it gets progressively more narrow towards the outer end. That means there is nothing to keep the straps from sliding off - it might be OK for short distances. It needs some kind of keeper system. Second, the strap is only just barely long enough to engage the buckle at the fattest part of the mirror. There is not enough through the buckle to stop it from slipping out. A longer strap would work here. Third, part of the highlander mirror is very close to the edge of the housing - I can't confirm if that is really a problem and it might depend on how the individual driver adjusts the mirror. I never really got one attached well enough that I would trust driving with it. I have found no other alternative mirrors that work.
I had read the mixed reviews about this mirror, took my chances and bought a pair of them. The one I placed on the driver's side was fine; the one on the passenger side, however, was magnified almost to the point of being useless (one of the reviewers from Aug 2012 mentioned this). I thought the passenger side one was defective and was about to call etrailer. But then I decided to try them on both sides, and lo and behold the one on the driver's side was normal and the one on the passenger side was over-magnified. So it would seem that the farther you get from this mirror the more magnification you get. They vibrated quite a bit at highway speed but not intolerably so. etrailer has always been great with speedy delivery with no mistakes on my orders, and I don't fault them, but this is a product I think they should consider discontinuing -- unless, of course, all clip-on mirrors also have this magnification problem. I don't have anything to compare them with.
Thanks for the follow up, I have provided a link to our custom fit towing mirrors that we currently offer for your 2017 Chevy Silverado. Since your existing mirrors are a universal mirror option, covering the OEM convex portion is an understandable concern. However, a custom fit towing mirror will not cause any obstruction on your OEM mirrors, and will be more secure since they are a custom fit to the profile of your truck mirrors.
--Mirrors were easy to install and adjust. Worked well on a two-hour trip on the highway. No sign of fatigue in the rubber straps holding the mirrors to the car mirrors.
The box just arrived and was crushed badly, luckily the mirrors were not cracked. I have not put them on yet so I haven't tested them out, but I was just camping and another camper also had this set and he said they worked well....so I think they will be fine. BTW, I bought these instead of an observation camera as 50% of the camera folks said they did not like using and "trusting" the camera.....I figured these mirrors would help me change lanes well enough and they are a lot cheaper than a camera!!!!!
Pretty good, easy to use but better for a half-ton truck. My Colorado still needs a little bit more width on the mirrors.
DOES THE JOB,KEEP THE STRAPS TIGHT!
Stayed on , quality good .
While this product might work great for some people, it did not work well for me. I drive a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Cipa Universal Clip-On mirrors attached fine and were tight. However, while towing the extension mirrors would vibrate to the point that they were irritating to look at and were basically unusable. So mid trip I took them off and never used them again. I am not sure if it is just the aerodynamics of my vehicle or if this is a common problem with all extension mirrors.
Stays in place well on most mirrors tried; but rubber straps decay rapidly under tension in the sun, so they should be removed immediately.
Fits our Chevy Silverado LTZ well. Easy to install. Delivery was very fast.
Plastic clip broke. Everything else ok
This mirror was absolutely useless. It is the wrong style mirror to use for towing as it zooms in on what you are looking at. Instead of being able to see what is going on around your trailer, this mirror zooms in to a 4ftx4ft area and doesn't let you see anything at all. It ended up being more of a distraction when I would look to my mirrors to make a lane change and see a zoomed in picture of the side of the road. I took it off after 400 miles into our 2000 mile trip and tossed it in the back of the car.
Adequate attachments; however, factory mounted extended mirrors would probably be better (as they'd more likely be more secure when driving). Take caution that the elastic straps are secure, they may slip a little and be readjusted. A disadvantage for attaching to the passenger side is the hooks are needed to be secured on the bottom, which seems to contribute to that side mirror's strap slipping more-so than the driver's side.
Got hitch for my Kia Sportage and this lady of 62 was able to put on myself with very good directions. Did need friend with impact wrench to drive the bolts on completely . Thanks so much for the wonderful videos. Product worked excellent. Other products including mirror, caster and foot plate work wonderfully and excellent value.
We ordered extension mirrors for our vehicle to use when we pull our camper. They fit our mirrors perfectly. Can't wait to hit the road.
It took me a few trips to figure out how to secure it and do it quickly but now I’m extremely happy with it. Definitely a great value.

Have not used yet. Needed mirror extensions when pulling camper. Will use this spring and summer.
Was shipped quickly, and no damage to the packaging. Reasonable pricing if works as described. Can not find instructions for mounting, but seems self explanatory.
etrailer indicates no instructions from manufacture.
For the price, this towing Clip-On is great for the short-hall towing I do locally for my small boat and snowmobile trailers. I can use it for the two vehicles I have with hitches very easily: VW Alltrack & Jeep Wrangler.
They are a good idea and we used them for awhile but the connectors conflicted with adjusting the stock electric mirrors on our 2006 Lexus GX470 tow truck.
I was afraid I'd burnout the mirror motors especially when you put the transmission in reverse and the mirrors move lots.
It was just what I needed. It was easy to install, and I could see very well all around the trailer, and see what traffic was there. I would definately tell others to purchase this item.
