The direct-connect style lets your motor-home-mounted Roadmaster tow bar—such as the Sterling, Blackhawk, Blackhawk 2, Falcon, Falcon 2, or Nighthawk—attach straight to the brackets. That means fewer parts to store and faster hookups every time you get ready to roll.
You don’t need specialized equipment or fabrication work to mount it. The kit comes with installation instructions and all necessary hardware so you can bolt it up cleanly to the frame. It’s a straightforward project that leaves you with a professional-looking setup that’s ready for dependable use on every trip.
Note: Roadmaster direct-connect base plates will only work with Roadmaster tow bars that slide into a trailer hitch, such as the Sterling, Blackhawk, Blackhawk 2, Falcon, Falcon 2, or Nighthawk. These base plates will not work with tow bars that require a hitch ball.

I’ve pulled the Chevy behind our motor home several times over a the last year. It has worked excellent. And when not in tow the tubing is barely noticeable.

Which trim is your 2026 Chevy Trax? Per Roadmaster, the # RM25EQ (523228-5) fits all trims of the 2026 Trax except the ACTIV trim....

Disappointed that the Guardian grill cover wouldn’t work with this setup. Had to purchase the fabric rock shield.
