Switch Between the Tonneau Cover and Topper

Fas-Top Traveler Soft TopperFas-Top Traveler Tonneau Cover

Some days your truck bed is carrying groceries, tools, or gear that fits below the rails. Other days it's bikes, stacked bins, hunting gear, or something else that sits above them. The Fas-Top Traveler gives you a tonneau cover for the smaller loads and a cab-height soft topper for the taller ones, all on the same truck. Fold the topper down when you want to use the tonneau cover, or remove it completely when you need to use your whole bed or tow with a 5th-wheel or gooseneck hitch.

A Lightweight Frame That Folds Out of the Way

Fas-Top Traveler Soft Topper X-Frame Underneath

The aluminum X-frame gives the topper its shape without the weight of a hard shell. It folds down into the sling in less than a minute, or you can remove the topper by releasing 4 corner latches and pulling 2 pins. Because the frame weighs less than a hard topper, you keep more of your truck's payload available for the gear you're actually hauling. The X-frame supports the soft topper fabric to help reduce flapping while you're driving.

Carry Long Gear Without Giving Up Covered Bed Space

Fas-Top JayBar Ladder Rack With Soft Truck Topper

Kayaks, ladders, and lumber can take up most of your truck bed before you load coolers, tools, camping gear, and everything else you're bringing with you. You can find the compatible ladder rack here: Fas-Top JayBar ladder rack (FT93MJ - sold separately). Add it to carry long gear above your bed while the topper keeps the rest covered below. The JayBar ladder rack and Traveler use the same Fas-Top rails, so the rack can stay in place when you switch between the topper and tonneau cover. Add the JayBar side bars (FT94YJ - sold separately) when you want additional mounting space along the sides of the rack for gas cans, recovery jacks, traction boards, and other bulky gear. The side bars mount in a high or low position, so you can place that gear where it works best for your setup.

Install Without Drilling Into Your Truck

Fas-Top Truck Bed Rails

The model-specific Fas-Top rails clamp to your truck's bed rails without drilling or welding. Installation only requires a 9/16" wrench or socket and a tape measure. Built-in utility tracks give the tonneau cover, JayBar ladder rack, and other Fas-Top accessories a place to mount, so you can switch between the topper and tonneau cover while keeping the JayBar available for long gear overhead.

Get More Airflow or Keep Your Gear Out of Sight

Fas-Top Blackout Rear Window

The Traveler comes with clear front and rear windows. If you're camping in your truck bed, traveling with pets, or carrying gear that needs more ventilation, replace the clear rear window with the mesh rear window (FT45CV - sold separately). If you have luggage, tools, camping gear, or other cargo you don't want visible through the back of the topper, the blackout rear window (FT47HV - sold separately) replaces the clear rear window with an opaque panel.

  • Overlanding Setup For 2025 Ford F-150 Tremor With 6-1/2' Bed (camper shell, bed cover, ladder rack)
Blake, for an overland-ready setup for your 2025 Ford F-150 Tremor with the 6-1/2' bed, I’d start with the Traveler Combo # FT44MV and the JayBar Rack # FT93MJ. The Traveler keeps your gear covered and dust-free with a soft camper shell and tonneau cover all-in-one, while the JayBar gives you 500 lbs of rack capacity for awnings or roof baskets. The crossbars have fixed spacing, so you’ll want to measure before adding a rooftop tent, but for recovery boards, lights, and jerry-can mounts,...

  • Is The Fas-Top Traveler Tonneau/Topper Combo Actually Weather-Tight? 2025 F150 Platinum 6-1/2' Bed
Samantha, the Traveler tonneau cover and camper shell topper combo # FT44MV is one of the better soft systems for that. On your 2025 F-150 Platinum 6-1/2' bed, the tonneau seals with non-skid weather strips and a reinforced flap behind the cab, while the topper uses hook-and-loop seams and a locking tailgate lip. Together, they do a great job shedding water and dust. If you’re hauling camera gear, I’d toss a dry-bag or storage bin underneath for backup, but most owners report their beds...

  • Ladder Rack For 2025 F150 XLT 6-1/2' Bed That Works With Roll Up Tonneau Cover
Steven, the Fas-Top JayBar Ladder Rack # FT93MJ is exactly what you’re after. It bolts into the Fas-Top rail system from the # FT26GV tonneau or # FT44MV tonneau/topper shell combo and gives you a sturdy, no-drill rack that clears the cab. Rated around 500 lbs, it’s perfect for ladders, lumber, or even kayaks. The crossbars use ¼" T-slots for tie-downs and brackets. Just to clarify, this JayBar ladder rack CANNOT be used on its own - can only be used with the tonneau or topper from Fas-Top. Do...

  • Can Fas-Top JayBar Ladder Rack Support A Roofnest Condor Overland Tent On 2025 F150 Tremor 6-1/2'
Hey there, Chad. The Fas-Top JayBar ladder rack # FT93MJ mounts directly into the Traveler tonneau/topper combo # FT44MV rails on your 2025 F-150 Tremor and is rated for about 500 lbs evenly distributed. That’s plenty of capacity for a Roofnest Condor Overland tent (roughly 160–180 lbs empty plus campers). Just keep in mind that the JayBar has fixed-position crossbars, not adjustable ones like you’ll find on modular rack systems. The ¼? T-slot channels will work great with tie-downs, awning...

  • Tonneau Cover And Camper Shell Overlanding Setup For 2025 Ford F150 Tremor 6-1/2' Bed
Hey Tyler, I’d point you to the Fas-Top Traveler Combo # FT44MV. It’s the best all-in-one solution for your F-150 Tremor. You get the roll-up tonneau for weekday weather protection, and the topper section flips up for camping shelter in minutes (tonneau gets rolled up to the front of the bed, out of the way). If you ever need more carrying capacity, the JayBar Rack # FT93MJ is right into those same rails for kayaks or off-road gear. Where do you plan to head first once it’s all set up...

  • Tonneau cover And Camper Shell Combo Kit That's Easy To Install And Use 2025 F150 Tremor 6-1/2' Bed
Hey Hunter, for that Tremor f150 with the 6-1/2' bed, I’d go straight for the Fas-Top Traveler Combo # FT44MV. It’s a full tonneau and topper in one system and weighs only about 70 lbs total, so you can lift it off yourself when you need the open bed. The topper folds forward into a compact sling at the cab, and the tonneau rolls tight behind it. You’ll love it for weekend trips - do you plan to leave it on all year or pop it off in summer?

  • All In One System Tonneau Cover + Camper Shell + Ladder Rack Overlanding For 2025 F150 6-1/2' Bed
Derek, the Fas-Top Traveler tonneau/topper combo kit # FT44MV is built for exactly that double life. During the week, it keeps tools dry and secure like a normal tonneau. Come Friday, the topper flips up for instant camping shelter. You can even add the JayBar # FT93MJ if you want to carry a cargo box or solar panel above it, or mount tools or lights to it. Are you more of a weekend-trips guy or planning some longer overlanding runs?

  • Tonneau Cover And Camper Shell Kit For 2025 F150 6-1/2' Bed That's Easy To Use With One Person
Hey Jenna, you’ll love the Fas-Top Traveler Combo # FT44MV. The topper section pops off with quick-release pins, and the tonneau rails stay clamped for quick reinstall of the topper. The cover can easily roll up when not in use, so you can have both folded up and out of the way for a clean truck bed (topper would likely need to be stored in garage or the truck cab). It’s a great setup if you like switching between covered and open-bed use. Do you plan to remove it seasonally or just for...

  • Does Fas-Top JayBar Ladder Rack Mount To Aluminum Bed Of 2025 F150 6-1/2' Bed Without Drilling?
Hey Derek! Yes, the Fas-Top JayBar Ladder Rack # FT93MJ is a no-drill install even on the aluminum-body 2025 F-150. It clamps right into the Fas-Top rail system used by the tonneau cover # FT26GV, soft camper shell # FT88EV, or tonneau/shell combo kit # FT44MV. All the contact points are padded, so there’s no risk of galvanic corrosion or bed damage where it clamps to the truck's bed rails. Are you planning to run a permanent rack setup or remove it when not in use? I really like the options...

  • Is Installing Fas-Top Travel Tonneau And Topper Shell On 2025 F150 King Ranch A 1 Person Job?
Hey Sara, the Traveler soft tonneau cover and camper shell combo kit # FT44MV for your 2025 F-150 6-½' bed weighs right around 70 lbs total - that’s the topper and tonneau together and all hardware/parts! It’s surprisingly lightweight thanks to the aluminum frame and vinyl construction. Most people can lift it solo, though having a second set of hands makes it easier to guide the frame evenly off the rails. And keep in mind, you will not be lifting 70 lbs total since there are individual...
