Big loads don’t have to mean removing your cover. The tri-fold design opens in sections, so you can fold it once for partial access or all the way for full bed use. Prop rods hold the panels upright when you need to drive with the bed completely open, and the integrated buckle system keeps everything secure whether the cover is folded, flipped up, or closed. The low-profile fit inside the bed rails leaves stake-pocket mounts open for accessories.
Installing the MX4 doesn’t require drilling or removing your bed rails. Aircraft-grade aluminum frame rails clamp directly to the inside of the bed, and the included bolts secure the front hinge rail to the frame. That solid base makes the folding panels align smoothly for a snug fit. If you ever need to adjust or remove it, the clamp system makes the process fast and simple.
The MX4 lets you open or close the tailgate whether the cover is up or down. Once the tailgate is closed and locked, the automatic latching panels create a sealed, secure bed space. That means your tools, groceries, or camping gear stay out of sight and protected from both weather and theft.

The BAKFlip after 2 years is still functioning great. I fixed the curling cushion by applying some strong adhesive to the spots that had detached, taped it in place and let cure for a couple of days. That solved that issue. Would continue to recommend the BAKFlip to others.

The cover is still excellent and keeps our items dry and secure on those road trips. I stand by my initial review and still wish the weatherstripping would stick the the spray in liner better but its only been a minor annoyance that hasnt resulted in any water getting into the bed.
