A lot of covers make you choose between keeping your cargo dry or being able to haul tall items. With the BAKFlip G2, you get both. The tri-fold design lets you open as much or as little of the bed as you need, and built-in prop rods hold the panels upright so you can drive with the bed completely open. The integrated buckle system keeps things secure whether it’s folded, flipped up, or closed, and you can still see through your rear window when it’s folded flat behind the cab.
Protecting gear from weather is one thing—but keeping it safe from theft is another. The G2’s aluminum panels automatically latch as they close, and once your tailgate is locked, so is your bed. The rigid 1/2" thick panels can’t be peeled up or cut through, so your tools, groceries, and equipment stay where they belong.
Rain, dust, and snow don’t stand a chance. Each rustproof aluminum panel is sealed with matte black rubber edges and backed by an integrated gutter system that channels water through drain hoses behind the cab. The finish resists corrosion and UV rays, so it stays looking good through years of sun and storms.
Some covers stick up high or take away from the truck’s lines. The BAKFlip G2 sits flush inside the bed rails for a low, smooth profile that blends right in. The no-drill clamp system mounts directly to the inside of the bed rails with just a wrench, and the aircraft-grade aluminum frame keeps it solid without weighing things down.
You can count on this cover to take real use. The insulated aluminum panels are strong enough to handle up to 300 lbs of evenly distributed weight when closed. That means loading gear on top or using it as a quick work surface isn’t a problem. It’s built to last, whether you’re at work or on the road.

After using it for a while Im extremely happy with this cover. It has been a game changer, making my 2008 Ford Ranger bed far more useable and convenient for carrying a variety of items. One of the best purchases Ive ever made for it.

After a year of use the cover still works perfectly and I would highly recommend this cover. I really like the fact that you can open up different sections without having to open the whole thing.

Hi Mardy. I have heard this to be a difficult install and the latches to be stiff (though adjusting them helps), but noisy, flimsy, and poor quality are firsts for a BAK product like this. What kind of noise are you getting? Is something maybe not tightened down all the way causing part to stick up? And, what part are you finding flimsy or poor quality?

After year of use I love the tonneau cover. had issues installing but after using for a year I would give it a five star.

Actually its closer to two years and I could not be more pleased. I have done a few rainy road trips and the one thing that worried me was if it would keep the contents dry and it did. Al else about the cover has been good too. Good product and it fit like a glove.
