This durable steel D-ring creates an attachment point for tie-down straps and bungee cords wherever you need cargo control. The corrosion resistant zinc-plated ring sits in a plastic bezel and bolts onto any flat surface.

Specs:
Note: Tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit. The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. for example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

Today, we're taking a look at the Brophy Rope Ring Tie-Down Anchor. The anchor ring is going to come with a plastic bezel pan. The unit, though, is going to provide a nice attachment point for securing tie-downs such as bungees, straps, and ropes. It's going to be ideal for use in trailers and truck beds. It is a surface-mount installation. It does require bolts or screws to get it fully installed. Hardware is not included.
So that will need to be provided separately. There's going to be three mount hole locations. Two on the pan and then one right here on the actual anchor ring. The anchor ring is made from a steel construction. It's going to have a zinc plating which is going to resist rust and corrosion. When it's not being used, you can see that it folds pretty flat, so it doesn't take up much space at all, and it's going to have a really nice range of movement.
That way, you can connect your strap and run your strap at almost any angle over your gear. The diameter of the ring, or the thickness right there, is going to measure quarter of an inch thick. A few of the measurements I want to mention for you real quick . Taking a look at just, basically, the usable space, measuring inside edge to inside edge, that's going to give us a measurement of about one and seven-eights of an inch from this point here to this point here. Going up and down, doing that same thing, inside to inside, that's going to give us a usable space of about an inch and a quarter. The mount hole on the ring, that's going to give us a diameter measurement of just over three-eighths of an inch. So this is designed to accept three-eighth inch diameter hardware, whether it's a bolt or a screw. Taking a look here at the pan, it's going to have two mount hole locations.
The distance between those, on center . It looks to be right at two and three-sixteenths of an inch, and the diameter of those holes is going to be a quarter of an inch. The diameter of the pan, measuring outside edge to outside edge, that's going to be three and seven-eighths of an inch. Then, the height or the thickness is around seven-sixteenths of an inch. The unit's going to have a safe working load limit of one thousand pounds and a maximum load or break strength of three thousand pounds. Please keep in mind that tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit.
The weight of the secure cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the anchors being used. That's going to do it for today's look at the Brophy Rope Ring Tie-Down Anchor.
