Loose lug nuts are a headache you don’t need. This wheel uses automotive-rated Improved Torque Retention (ITR) technology with a raised center disc and beveled, uncoated stud holes for better clamp force. That design helps the wheel stay snug against the hub, so you spend less time checking torque and more time towing with confidence.
Rust and chipping can ruin a wheel fast, but this one is built to fight back. The white acrylic enamel finish is applied over an e-coat primer and zinc phosphate pre-treatment for superior durability. It resists road debris damage better than powder coat finishes and has been proven in salt spray testing for more than 1,000 hours of protection.
This wheel comes with a valve stem already installed, ready to handle tires that run up to 80–100 psi depending on stem style. If you’re pairing it with heavy-duty tires that need even more pressure, it’s easy to swap in a metal stem rated over 100 psi. Either way, you get the flexibility to match your setup’s demands without extra hassle.
Built to SAE J1204 standards, the Vesper wheel has a 4.25" pilot diameter, accepts 1/2"-20 or 9/16"-18 wheel bolts, and holds true with zero offset. Those details make mounting straightforward and ensure proper balance once installed — exactly what you want when you’re setting up a trailer meant to go the distance.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

These two wheels look great and are exactly as shown on the etrailer.com website. They came very well protected. Each wheel came wrapped in protective wraps, each were packaged separately inside sturdy cardboard boxes, and the two boxes were shipped together inside one large sturdy cardboard box. I received my wheel with a dent .
Big dent but small enough to keep pressure in the tire.
I was upset i didn’t open my package until a week after i received it so i thought if i complained they would have thought it was me who did that. Didn’t bother to complain.
Besides the big dent the rim has it’s been solid and hasn’t had any problems. I would give 5 stars if it wasn’t for the dent i received the wheel with.

Rims packaged very good! Shipped super quick, that's a plus. Pricing is in line. Why'd I knock off two stars? I ordered 5 rims, they are all the same size but I got 2 different brands, with different valve stems. Now this probably wouldn't bother some people...it probably wouldn't have bothered me if I were putting them on a work trailer. But my enclosed trailer is pretty sweet and I'm a bit OCD with it. I needed to get tires back on to get it moved so shipping back was not an option unfortunately.
This is a tremendous wheel! The 6" wide wheel is rated at 2835 lbs. Remember your rig is only as good as its weakest link, so a pair of these would be good for 5670 lbs. Overkill on a 3500lbs axle? Maybe, but definitely gives peace of mind, and the price is comparable. They even ship with the high pressure metal stems installed. The offset is neutral, so the difference from a 5" is only a half inch back spacing increase. Be sure to check your clearances from hub face to frame, but my Dexter 95" axle has plenty of clearance from the 80" frame. eTrailer has been the best vendor, period! I originally needed these wheels in April 2016 to replace the truck wheels I had, but the 5-on-5" wheels were not a carried item. Within days the team added them to their product line and had them shipped.

Rims look great and fit perfectly on the axle. Having the rims fitted with Goodyear Endurance 14 ply tires. These should last years on my old dump trailer

Perfect match and fit for our 2002 Logan bumper pull horse trailer. Picture shows existing and new wheel (back wheel). New wheel has a classy thin red and blue stripe around the rim….Tire is 225x75R 15 E rated trailer tire.
I have replaced all of my original trailer wheels with these vespers. They have a higher weight rating than the ones that came on my trailer and failed. I love this wheel. They are strong with a beautiful baked on powder coat!
