Rust and road grime don’t stand a chance here. The wheel’s white acrylic enamel finish goes on after a zinc phosphate pre-treatment and e-coat primer layer, giving it excellent corrosion resistance—more than 1,000 hours in salt spray tests. Compared to powder coat finishes, this one holds up longer against chips and scrapes from road debris or curbs.
Loose lug nuts are a thing of the past. The beveled stud holes help keep the wheel tight against the hub, so you don’t have to constantly stop and recheck torque. It’s a small design choice that makes a big difference when you’re logging miles or frequently swapping loads.
Getting this wheel mounted is simple thanks to its clear specs—zero offset, a 4.25" pilot diameter, and a wheel bolt size of 1/2"-20. That setup gives you balanced spacing and solid stability once bolted up. It even includes a valve stem rated for up to 65 psi, with easy upgrade options if higher pressure is needed later.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at this Vesper 15 inch by six inch white steel modular wheel, with a six on five and a half inch bolt pattern. This steel wheel with modular design is sturdy and corrosion resistant. The white acrylic enamel finish resists chipping and other damage better than powder coat finishes. And this finish is applied after a zinc phosphate pre-treatment, and covers an E-coat primer layer. So it has an excellent corrosion resistance, with a salt spray rating of more than 1000 hours. The beveled stud holes are gonna help keep your wheel securely in place on your trailer hub, eliminating the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts.
As you can see, the valve stem is included, and this wheel meets SAEJ1204 standards. And the rim dimensions, as I mentioned is 15 inches in diameter, so measuring bead seat to bead seat, you can see we are sitting right at that 15 inches, and then looking at the width again, measuring bead seat to bead seat where the tire's actually going to sit on the wheel, we are sitting again right at six inches on that width. We mentioned that the bolt pattern is six on five and a half inches. That first number is the bolt pattern- obviously in the bolt pattern- is obviously the number of bolt holes. The second number to note's the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes, you're just gonna measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from it, and in this case, that's what's going to give you the five and a half inches on this bolt pattern. The wheel stud size is a half inch by 20, and this has a capacity of 2,830 pounds. The center cap is sold separately. If you do pick one up, just make sure that it fits the pilot diameter of 4.25 inches. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today.

I'm rating this trailer wheel as Excellent for a few reasons. First, the cost of the wheel is low for the quality of the product. Second, the wheel has kept its color and shine for over a year of substantial use. Third, the durability is awesome! We travel too many areas with tough terrain and the wheels need to be strong enough to handle the hits that come with the areas we access. These wheels do just that and do it well.

Perfect match and fit for our 2002 Logan bumper pull horse trailer. Picture shows existing and new wheel (back wheel). New wheel has a classy thin red and blue stripe around the rim….Tire is 225x75R 15 E rated trailer tire.
