The common 8 on 6-1/2 pattern makes pairing this wheel with most trailer hubs straightforward. A 4.9" pilot diameter centers it precisely, while non-threaded lug holes ensure even torque whether you’re using 1/2" or 9/16" hardware. Designed for easy matching, it takes the guesswork out of finding a reliable replacement or spare wheel.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Dexstar 16 inch by six inch white spoke steel trailer wheel with the eight on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this is a nice sturdy steel construction. Gives you excellent corrosion resistance 'cause it uses a white powder coat finish over an e-coat primer. This is an eight spoke pattern design and it is a high quality wheel that will meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications. This wheel is made by Dexstar, which means it is made in the USA.
A few specs on this. We're gonna measure the diameter, and the diameter when you measure it, is always measured inside to inside. You don't wanna measure outside to outside. It's inside to inside. So you can see if we put a ruler on that and go straight across.
There's your 16 inch diameter and the width is the same way. You're gonna measure where the tire bead seats, so it's inside to inside. So there's your six inches wide. Now the bolt pattern on this, it is an eight on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel it's an even number of lugs, like in this case, eight.
It's pretty easy because all you have to do is measure straight across. The lug holes are lined up straight across from each other. So just pick any hole. Let's say this one. Measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the one right across from it.
And on this it'll measure 6 1/2 inches. So that's an eight lug 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel, diameter of this opening is 4.9 inches. And this will fit the wheel stud size of a 1/2 inch by 20 or 9/16 by 18. Last thing is the capacity on this wheel is 3,750 pounds. But that should do it for the review on this Dexstar 16 inch by six inch white spoke steel trailer wheel with the eight on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern.

I bought 4 trailer rims to replace my 4 very rusty rims on my trailer. I was going to sandblast and paint the rusty rims but these were under $200 for all 4. Lots of time saved in not sandblasting and painting.
I needed to replace the 4 wheels on our dump trailer. These wheels are rated for 3750lbs and are made in the USA which is always nice to see. The quality looks good, these will get the job done.
I ordered 4 tires and wheels, and they arrived very quickly -in 2 days! I am very happy with what I got, and the sales people I interfaced with were awesome! All in all a very good experience, and I would recommend this company to anyone.
The wheels look great. I haven't purchased tires for them yet but will soon. One package was torn but the wheels only had minor scratches on the back side of the wheel, so no problem. These wheels will allow me to upgrade to load range E tires on my RV and have a little more piece of mind when towing. Sorry, but no pictures yet.
Got a set for a trailer we built and they are great. Accepted the tires we got from etrailer and no complaints here. Definitely recommend etrailer to anyone in the market
Appears to be a very good quality product. it got here in two days which was a great help in getting my trailer back in operation.
These are a great made in USA trailer wheel. The finish on the cosmetic areas is perfect, other ares have some flaws. One came with some glue or something on it, it was on the inside. I tried to clean it off to no avail. The packaging cold be better for this product. Just wrapping them in paper and cutting the box down before its stapled would help tremendously! Bottom line is I am happy. The tires his any of the scratches on the rim face, and they look perfect on the trailer.
Very happy with these wheels and the customer service before and after purchase. I'm using them on my livestock trailer. I would recommend them as a cost effective, but quality, upgrade to anyone looking at swapping out their wheels.
Wheels looked great. Good paint and no chips. Would purchase from etrailer in the future.

Great product. Rims are true and straight. White paint still look good.
It's difficult to rate tire rims because they're metal and one expects them to hold up. I bought mine for a livestock trailer because one of my rims was either lost or stolen. It matched up well with my other rims and has held up just as was expected
I needed a trailer rim that I couldn’t find without buying a tire with it . Etrailer was the 1st to come up online . I ordered 2 rims (1 for a spare ) and saved probably 400$. And as a bonus they arrived 2 days early.Buying online seems to be the way of the future. I will save this one to my favorites for future purchases. No issues, on time delivery and good customer service.
Product was received in good condition and as advertised.The wheel has not been mounted yet.

The wheel is a spare for my car trailer and luckily I havent needed to use it yet.I have mounted a tire on it and it goes every where the trailer goes.Thanks for the great service.
Wheels came very badly packaged. The powder coating was chipped on all 4 wheels I bought. There was a mistake on my part ordering as I ended up ordering twice in a half hour because the order didn’t look like it went through. I was charged for 8 wheels even though they only shipped 6. They tried their best to fix the problems. I had to spray paint all the wheels I kept. Shouldn’t have to paint brand new wheels because of their cheap packaging. Very, very disappointing on how the wheels arrived. One of the lug hole had to be filed and repainted on each wheel because of the way the rims were hung during the powder coating process. I was expecting a much better experience then what I got
Overall the B&W Companion seems to be a nice unit, but disappointing that it arrived a little beatup with chips and a nice scratch. It arrived before the truck did so the unboxing waited a couple weeks. Guess I should have unboxed right away instead of waiting until I needed to install it.
The install was fairly easy and uneventful since lifting it into the bed may have been the hardest part. It look about an hour including tie to track down various tools and supplies. With the OEM pucks in our new Ram 3500 it didn't take many tools to complete the install and since the camper isn't here I'll probably get to use some of the tools again when I find out the middle height isn't quite right for the trailer, but at least adjusting the height and position is pretty straight-forward. It's heavy enough (probably good since it will pull some weight) and takes up enough space that it may not get removed very often unless a 2nd strong back is available regualrly. Depending on how often we use the camper, maybe the hitch will only come out in the winter and go back in come spring.
We'll need to add a lock or two so the hitch doesn't wander off since it's so easy to remove that a couple strong backs could easily make off with it.

The wheels are great. We used them to replace the corroded OEM units.
We have put many thousands of trouble free miles on the trailer with the AM 20750 wheels during the past year. Domestically manufactured by Dexstar to very high standards, they are an excellent product. As always, etrailer is top on value, service and price.

I was looking to match the wheels that I have. They are Dexter wheels made in 1989. Made in USA with a fully welded center. These wheels looked to be the same from the pictures and are made in USA. They are a exact match other than the color and the center is 40 thousands thinner than the Dexter wheel but I do not think that will make any difference. I would recommend these wheels to any one needing replacements. They are way better than the China wheels that have the centers stitch welded not fully welded. I had one of those break the center loose on my 5th wheel
