Hub-Piloted Wheel
This wheel is hub piloted, which means that it centers on the hub, not the lugs. The wheel requires the use of flange nuts (sold separately) for installation.
Corrosion-Resistant Finish
This steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and finished on both sides with baked-on DuPont powder paint.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look together at this Americana Hub Piloted Modular Silver Steel Wheel. Now this heavy duty hub piloted steel wheel has a capacity of 6,005 pounds and a positive offset of 0.5" to ensure that it is positioned closer to your trailer frame. And this is designed for trailers with disc brakes and this steel wheel with this modular design, as you can see here, goes through a three step finishing process that makes this both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion, and then it is e-coated with an acrylic primer base and then finished on both sides with baked on DuPont silver powder paint. Now, as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together, this is a hub piloted wheel, which means it will center on the hub of the axle and not on the lug.
The pilot hole diameter is 4.76". This does require the use of flange nuts for installation. We do sell them separately here on our website. And this does use a wheel lug size of 5/8" by 18 flange nut and the measurements of our wheel, looking at the diameter first, measuring beat seat to bead seat where the tire actually meets the wheel, that is going to be 17-1/2" in diameter. And then looking at the width again from bead seat to beat seat is 6-3/4" wide, and our bolt pattern is 8 on 6-1/2".
And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, and then the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes as we have here, you simply measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bold hole directly across from it. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
