1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Now this is a radial tire, so it is great for highway use and it's constructed with double steel belts, double nylon plies, and they do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. Now if you notice on the tread design, if you look on the tread on these blocks, you'll notice they have cuts in them. Those are called sipes. Basically, the siping that's on these tires treads right here.
This will help channel water away from underneath the tire to improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions. And this tire is an ST tire, which stands for a special trailer tire. It has this sturdy sidewall so they can handle heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on any other vehicles.
Now, they do offer a complimentary roadside assistance for two years. They give you flat tire service available 24/7 anywhere in the US, Canada, or Puerto Rico. And this tire will meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, and the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard specifications. Now this tire will mount onto a 15-inch by 5-inch wide, 15 by 5-1/2-inch, 15 by 6-inch, and a 15 by 6-1/2-inch size wheel. R means that it is a radial tire. Now the section width on it is 8-inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top. When it's inflated, it's 27.1. And we mentioned this is a load range C tire, which means it's a six-ply rated tire.
So it does have a maximum load capacity of 1,820 pounds at 50 PSI. And one last thing is all the trailer tires now do come with a speed rating stamped on them, and it's usually stamped by a letter designation. And where you'll find that is usually right after the size. If you go around the tire, you'll see it says speed rating, and it shows a letter L, and then in brackets it'll tell you it's 75 mile per hour speed rating. I ordered these tires because they are OEM tires. I had the misfortune of having 2 tires blow out on my RV last season on a Saturday Evening. I was subjected to buy 2 generic tires to get home. Unfortunately, these tires did not hold up. So I just received these tires yesterday and have not installed them yet. I am confident they will be spot on. As for service the tires were delivered 2 days early. I can't believe how easy and accurate this process was. I plan to purchase many more things from etrailer.com in the future.
I was pleasantly surprised that etrailer.com had this tire size and brand. I wanted an additional spare tire/wheel set to prepare for the possibility of losing a second tire when traveling.
Well this order is a replacement for the original tire with less than 5000 miles on it that has a busted band so that is why I cannot give it a top rating. I ordered this tire to match treads of my other tires.
