When you’re hauling serious weight, capacity and stability matter most. This 235/75R17.5 radial tire has an 18-ply rating and a 6,005-lb maximum load at 125 psi, so it’s built for demanding use. The speed rating of J (62 mph) gives confidence for steady highway runs, and the all-steel belts help it stay cool and stable when miles start to stack up. Both tire and wheel meet DOT specifications for strength you can rely on.
The 17-1/2" x 6-3/4" solid center steel wheel is made for durability under pressure. It’s hub-piloted and rated for a 6,005-lb wheel capacity, with an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern and +0.19" offset for proper fitment on heavy-duty hubs. The design is simple, strong, and built to stay true even when loaded to the limit.
Corrosion doesn’t stand a chance thanks to the 3-step finish applied inside and out. The wheel goes through a zinc phosphate bath for adhesion, then gets an acrylic e-coat primer before being finished with baked-on black DuPont powder paint on both sides. That layered protection means it holds up against moisture, road grime, and time without losing its clean look.
This radial tire is made to handle real highway conditions with confidence. All-steel belts reinforce the carcass for long tread life and durability under heavy loads. The computer-generated tread design pairs with premium rubber compounds to offer dependable traction in wet or dry conditions while wide shoulders help prevent uneven wear over the long haul.
Centering on the hub instead of the lugs makes mounting precise and secure every time. The hub-piloted wheel uses flange nuts (sold separately) for installation, locking everything down tight and keeping the assembly running true mile after mile.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Triangle 23575R 17.5 radial tire in a load range J and it's mounted on this 17-1/2 inch black solid center steel trailer wheel with an offset and an 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire and wheel assembly is designed for use on heavy duty trailers. The wheel is a heavy duty wheel. It's sturdy steel construction. It is a solid center design.
It does offer excellent corrosion resistance. It uses a black powder coat finish over an e-coat primer on the front and the back of the wheel. Now, this wheel is a hub piloted wheel, and by that I mean it will center on the center hole right here, this is the hub, so basically a hub piloted wheel. It'll have this pilot hole diameter of 4.76 inches. And as we mentioned, it centers exactly on the hub.
And because of that, if you look at the lug holes, they aren't chamfered, so there's no bevel to them, and that's because this wheel will require the use of 5/8 inch by 18 size flange nuts for installation. Those items we do sell separately on our website. So basically when you put this onto your trailer, it's gonna center on the large pilot hole and not on the lugs. We mentioned this wheel has an offset and it is a positive offset and it's a 0.19 inch positive offset, which means the wheel's gonna move towards the trailer frame. So basically with an offset, it's where this mounting surface is determined on the center line of the wheel.
So positive, it's gonna move more towards the front, which in turn will move the trailer or the wheels and tires towards the trailer frame. The diameter on just the wheel is 17-1/2 inches. The width on the wheel 6-3/4 inches wide. Now, we mentioned this wheel has a bolt pattern of 8 on 6-1/2 inches. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel that's an even number of lugs, in this case eight, it's pretty easy because the lug holes are directly across from each other.
So you just pick one of the holes, measure from the center of that hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. On this wheel, it'll measure 6-1/2 inches, so it's an 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern. The wheel does have a weight capacity of 6,005 pounds. Now, the tire that's mounted on this wheel, it is a premium multi-use steer or all-position radial tire. It is constructed with all steel belts to enhance durability and extend the tread life. If you notice, it has very wide shoulders on it to promote even wear and better traction. And it uses an enhanced casing package to help improve toughness and retread ability. Now, the tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, 23575R 17.5, the R means it's a radial tire. Section width, it's gonna be 9.3 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 31.4 inches. And we mentioned this has a load range of J, which means it's an 18-ply rated tire. So the tire does have a maximum load capacity of 6,005 pounds at a 125 PSI. And the last thing I do wanna mention, the tire does come with a speed rating on it and it is stamped on the sidewall by a letter designation. And where it's at is right after the tire size, you'll see two numbers for the load index and then you'll see the letter J. J means that it has a 62 mile per hour speed rating. But that should do it for a look at this Triangle 23575R 17.5 radial tire in a load range J on the 17-1/2 inch black solid center steel trailer wheel with an offset and an 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern.

Good quality spare tire. Got one from them previously and fit like a charm.
Excellent customer service!
Great price for 17.5 tire and wheels co mbos!
Seems like decent quality but the wheel arrived with several areas of chipping paint. I’m not super satisfied that I have to repaint a brand new wheel.
Tire/rim came as advertised. Was quick shipment. It did have a few chips on the rim edge, going to assume it was due to shipping company. Seems to be a very heavy duty tire. We will see how well it wears. Overall super satisfied for the price and delivered to my door. A++
Nice looking tire and rim that will make a great spare.
It’s a spare tire, hasn’t been on the road yet.

Luckily I haven’t needed the spare tire. But it is peace of mind knowing it’s ready to go if I do!
