Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a Shackle Strap that measures 2" long. This shackle strap connects a double-eyed spring to a rear hanger on a single-axle trailer or to an equalizer on a multi-axle trailer. The link or the shackle allows the appropriate movement to take place. It's made from a durable steel construction with protective finishing to keep it safe from rust and corrosion.Now, the shackle length is measured from the center of one hole to the center of the other hole, so if we take a measurement of that, that's where we get our 2" measurement from. When it comes to the overall measurements, edge-to-edge going in this direction, we're looking at about 3-1/4" long by 1-1/4" wide by 3/16" thick, and then the bolt hole diameter is 9/16" of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the Shackle Strap that measures 2" long..

I purchased this product as a back up because dexter Strap was back ordered it did not fit on the dexter replacement link, as suggested by a service worker.

Used this product for a non trailer application, but it was just what I needed.. ordering, processing and delivery were spot on... no problems...
The size is as indicated and the hole diameters are of proper specifications as listed. The only thing about these shackle links or straps, is that they are not made of as hard of steel as the originals were. The price is very reasonable, but I'm unsure of the durability of these, because of the lower steel hardness. These are for a double axle 16 foot long utility trailer. Time will tell if they hold up without the holes quickly becoming elongated and deformed.

Well, my suspension replacement and over/under swap went great! You guys were very helpful in ensuring I got the right parts and didn't waste money on shipping and other parts I didn't need. It tows like a dream now. I hardly even notice it behind me and I really don't have to slow down to .05 MPH for every little dip in the road.
Order was quick along with delivery. Received product different than ordered (received 2 1/2” bolt center instead of 2” like ordered.
Product was high quality and fit perfectly to the previously purchased 1 1/2" U-bolts. Did the job. I used the U-bolts and these straps to bolt a sister axle to a boat trailer axle that was showing signs of bending. Item was as advertised and arrived quickly. Who could ask for more?
