You're piecing together a tandem-axle suspension and need the center dialed in. You weld the hangers, bolt in the equalizers, and everything lines up. The springs move like they should and the ride stays steady.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at our Terran Axle tandem-axle center hanger kit for double-eye Springs. So folks, when this is installed, I do wanna throw up an image of one side since I don't have a way to hang them here in the studio today obviously. Your center one is gonna be your tallest one. That's the four and a quarter inch tall middle hanger.
And that center hanger supports the equalizers between your axles, and then the equalizers then in turn support everything else, and the equalizers can pivot off of that center one. And these give you a smoother suspension travel, making everything nice and smooth as you're driving. Now, the hangers here are a weld-on application, so they must be welded to the trailer frame. These fit a one to three quarter inch wide double spring or double-eye leaf spring that would go in here. And you do get all the hardware as you can see, all the shackle bolts, the hangers, the shackle straps, and of course all the nuts, the equalizers with the bushings already in place.
And then of course your two set of front, two set of rear and your center hanger. So the rear hanger and front hangers are two and a half inches tall, and we measure that from the center of the hole here to the top flat plane. And then that center hanger is four and a quarter inches. Again, center of that hole to the top plane there on the hanger. Now, these are gonna work great for 2,000 to 7,000 pound Tana Maxwell trailers, again, that use that one three quarter inch wide double-eye spring.
The shackle bolts are your standard three inch long by nine 16 inch diameter, and the shackle nuts obviously fit that bolt. And your shackle strap center to center is two and five eighth inches on center. And your equalizer center to center, I got seven and three quarter inches. So when you're replacing your hanger kit, you wanna try to get everything as precise as possible. Now, if you're within, let's say about a quarter of an inch, you're probably okay, but the closer you can get exactly the same, the better.
Keep in mind, sometimes some of the metal parts can wallow out, so maybe you've got an egg shape hole here on one of your shackle straps or something like that. So just make sure you're measuring the best you can. If you need assistance with measuring or how to measure or any questions answered, always reach out to us here at etrailer. We're more than happy to assist you. That's gonna wrap up our quick look together. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
