Today we're going to be taking a look at the brake mounting bolt. This bolt's typically used on 12-1/4" brake assemblies with 10,000-pound, 12,000-pound, or 15,000-pound capacity. The bolt size is 7/16" x 20, 7/16 is the diameter, and then 20 is threads per inch. A few measurements that we can go over with you real quick. The overall length, so measuring from the top of the bolt head to the end of the threaded portion, you see that's going to measure about 2". From the bottom of the bolt head to the end of the threaded portion is 1-3/4" long. The appropriate lock washer to be used with this bolt is part number 5-8, and the appropriate nut to be used with this bolt is part number 6.17.
Those items are sold separately. If you're in need of those, they can be found at etrailer.com. But this unit is a nice durable construction. You can tell here that it has a really nice protective coating over it. That's going to keep the hardware safe from rust and corrosion, ensuring that it lasts and performs well for a long time.
That's going to do it for today's look at the brake mounting bolt.

The brake assemblies I received seem to be just fine. They were a good fit on my trailer. Haven't completed the job yet to try the brakes out, but they look great. All my other parts were correct and very well packaged. I really appreciate the great customer service. These guys seem to really care.
fit great
