Hi, everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Lippert U-bolt kit for 4,400-pound trailer axles that use a three-inch wide axle. So folks, you're gonna get quantity two. You're gonna get one U-bolt with two nuts, another U-bolt with two nuts. This, as you know, goes around the axle beam. This fits a three-inch wide.
Now, these do have a usable length of 6 1/2 inches long. And the thread size here is 1/2-inch by 20 if you're curious, and it does fit the nuts that come with it. Now, as you can see, this has a zinc plate finish over it, so it's gonna resist rust and corrosion. And this is gonna be a fine thread design. That just gives you superior holding strength.
This is a steel construction underneath. And and as you know, again, this is the main part that's gonna help secure that axle to your trailer suspension system. So you wanna make sure you're keeping an eye on these, making sure that they're still strong and there's no cracks or anything in them and those kinda things.
