When your trailer bounces over uneven ground, the suspension needs to share the load evenly. This 10-1/8" long swan-shaped equalizer connects 2" wide slipper springs on tandem- or triple-axle setups and transfers impact from one axle to the next. The result is balanced weight across the suspension and a smoother, more controlled ride that keeps gear and frame stress to a minimum.
Loose or undersized hardware can throw off alignment and wear out fast. This equalizer uses a 7/8" center bolt hole for a sturdy wet bolt connection and 9/16" side bolt holes to secure the spring eye. The fit is tight and consistent, keeping parts aligned so the suspension can do its job mile after mile.
Standard rectangular equalizers can’t always handle the movement of multiple axles smoothly. The swan-shaped design gives the spring end room to move while maintaining even pressure through the arc. That means less binding and better tracking—especially when the trailer shifts over potholes or dips.
Getting the right part is about matching dimensions exactly. This equalizer is made for 2" wide slipper springs and measures 10-1/8" long with bolt spacing of 4-5/8", 5-1/2", and 5". With the proper 9/16", 5/16", and 7/8" bolt holes, it installs cleanly with standard suspension hardware like the TRFA71063 wet equalizer bolt and keeps everything moving smoothly once in place.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the swan-shaped equalizer for two-inch wide slipper springs. This is going to connect slipper springs on dual or triple axle trailers. One end of the slipper spring attaches with a bolt and shackle strap. That would go on this end right here. That would go through the eye of the spring. The hardware to get that installed is not included, so it needs to be provided separately.
The other end, the arched end of the other spring, would rest on a keeper bolt at this location. Again, that hardware's sold separately also. Then the equalizer will be suspended from the center hanger, and that hardware that goes with the center hanger, as well as the center hanger, that's all sold separately. If you need any of those supplies, you can find that stuff right here at etrailer.com. This unit's designed to transfer the load and sudden impacts from one axle to another by permitting movement between the axles. It's really going to help distribute weight evenly, and it's going to result in a smooth ride for the trailer.
It's constructed of steel construction with a black finish. It's going to fit two-inch wide slipper leaf springs. The center bolt hold diameter, that's this hole right here, that's going to measure 7/8 of an inch. The side bolt hold diameter for mounting the spring, that's this one right here, 9/16 of an inch. The bolt hold diameter for the keeper bolt, right here, that's 5/16 of an inch. A few measurements to go over with real quick.
We're going to take a measurement from the center of the center hole to the center of this hole over here. If we do that, that's going to give us measurement . Let me make sure this straight. It's going to give us a measurement of around 4 5/8 of an inch. If we do a measurement from the center of the center hole to the hole down here, that's going to give us measurement of about 5 inches.
