Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Dragon rectangular waterproof LED boat accent light. Now, this is a compact rectangular LED light that's designed specifically for boat interiors. Obviously it gives off this red light, which is gonna be great for visibility at night without ruining your night vision. This is also going to work nicely as a subtle accent lighting.
Let me go back out to my wide view, see if the focus is holding. It looks like it is. Just wanted to show you how bright this was from that far away and see if I can get this to focus back in. There we go. So, this is going to be ideal for lighting up areas like your cabinets, your steps, and walkways inside your boat.
Even though it's small, it's built to handle marine conditions. This unit is fully sealed and waterproof with a tough polycarbonate housing, and it has a UV-resistant lens. Inside, the circuit board is military grade, so it's protected with urethane potting. It's gonna offer you better durability than standard epoxy, so it's gonna hold up well against vibration and moisture. The LEDs themselves are high quality, they're very efficient.
They don't draw much power in the resistant vibration and they're rated to last up to 50,000 hours, so this is very much a set it and forget it type of light. It uses four red LEDs behind a clear lens. It's gonna give you about 32 lumens of light, enough to see clearly without being harsh or blinding. And again, I'm very impressed with just how much light this actually does put out for its size. This obviously runs on your standard 12 volt DC system.
It's meant to be surface mounted. You will need a mounting cover. Those are sold separately and depending on whether that cover is vertical or horizontal, the beam angle will change. So, for vertical mounting it'll be 40 degrees, and then 60 degrees for horizontal. Installation's gonna be pretty straightforward. It does require hardwiring and two number four screws, which aren't included. Just giving you some measurements here. The overall length about 1 1/8 inches. The overall height, if you wanna call it that, about 1/2 an inch or so, not quite 1/2 an inch maybe. And then, the thickness, I'd say about 1/2 an inch. So, hopefully those measurements were helpful for you. If you got any other questions, don't hesitate to reach out. We wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
