Video Transcript for Feature Breakdown: Mini Clearance/Side Marker Light w/ Grommet

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Submersible Red LED Mini Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Light. With this little one inch round, waterproof LED mini trailer light, you're going to be able to haul safer by alerting other drivers of your trailer's position and direction of travel. As you can see, I already have this connected to power. You can see just how bright it is with my bright studio lights on.

But let me go ahead and turn my studio lights off here real quick, just to give you a better idea of what this is going to look like in darkness and can just see the light on my table here. Let me zoom out real quick just so you can see it at a distance. So this light's going to function as both a clearance and rear side marker light when properly mounted. This one red LED underneath a red lens is rated for up to 100,000 hours of operation. It is energy efficient, long lasting and vibration resistant.

Now this is a PC rated light, meaning it produces a 90 degree angle of light on either side of its center line for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. The beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. Rather than buying side marker and clearance lights separately, you can mount this single PC rated light at a 45 degree angle on the rear corner of your trailer to act as both. This sealed waterproof light includes a durable, polycarbonate housing and UV resistant lens. The circuit board is of a military grade construction and the urethane potting offers a better protection than common epoxy potting.

This has an IP rating of 68. This is 12 volt DC compatible. As you can see, it's a two wire pigtail with a 0.180 male bullet ends. And I measured the wire earlier before our time together, and from the end of the plug all the way behind the light here, we're sitting at about 11 and a half inches of length. So this is a recessed mount insulation with an included grommet and insulation does require a three quarter of an inch diameter cutout.

Let me pull out my ruler here real quick and just give you the measurement of the overall thickness. As you can see, we're sitting right at seven eights of an inch. And if you are looking for additional measurements that I did not cover with you today, on this product page, we do have a diagram with some other measurements that you might find helpful.
