Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Peterson LumenX LED clearance and side marker. It's a trailer light that is submersible with a round red lens. That's right, folks, so this round trailer light functions as both a clearance and side marker, depending on how you have it mounted when it's properly mounted. It does not require top mount position to meet DOT requirements for PC rating.
It's been sealed, it's waterproof housing and lens unit, meaning that you can put it in the water if you need be. As you can see, you're just getting the light, the housing and everything, there is no plug included. It does accept an AMP-style plug with pigtails sold separately, and that part number if you need it is 417-48, and that gives you a watertight connection. Now I have one here just for demonstration purposes today. It is not included.
As you can see, it has that rubber plug there, and then it just simply plugs right into the back, and that's gonna give you a nice, tight watertight finish fitting. And if I power on here, now you can see the red light. LEDs make great replacement for incandescent bulbs. They're bright, brilliant. The LumenX optics create a solid panel of light that illuminates the entire lens, so that makes it a lot better than some of the standard ones that are out there.
LEDs burn 50 times longer than incandescent lamps, so they're gonna be better for longevity and just brighter and overall more visible. DOT compliant, as I mentioned. It does meet all FMVSS 108 requirements as well for automotive lighting. I'm gonna go ahead and turn back on the overhead lights for you real quick. Now getting a closer look here as I shut this off, again, no pigtail included, but I do wanna show you what it would look like when it's installed on there.
So again, this part number is 417-48, sold separately. The light itself is about 2 15/16" diameter overall, and about 1 1/2 inches deep. And you have three mounting holes. The distance on center of those mounting holes is 2 5/8 inches. Well, folks, I think that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven, thanks for watching, and as always, stay safe while you're towing.
I need the larger size. Please let me know if you have that available
