Today we're going to be taking a look at Westin's Replacement Step Pads. These are going to be a direct replacement for your old worn out pads on your Westin tube steps. The pads come in varying shapes and sizes, so you'll want to use our website to determine the appropriate pad for your step. The pads are sold individually so you can replace just one, whichever is broken, or go ahead and replace all of them on your tube step. They're made of the same durable UV-resistant polymer plastic as your originals were. And while our old ones crunched and cracked below our feet, our new ones work great. This vehicle here is nine years old, so the tube steps on it are likely eight years and 11 months old.
But, as you can see, there's really nothing wrong with our tube step. Just with the pad that's on top of it here. It's all cracked and coming apart. You can just kind of flake it off like that. Well, with an easy, quick pushpin replacement, we could have brand new looking tube steps making our '09 looks like a '19.To remove your old step head, you're going to need a few things.
You're going to need a prying tool. We're going to be using a flat bladed screwdriver, a rubber mallet or soft face mallet, and having a pair of needle nose pliers can come in handy for a few tricky spots. So we'll start by prying or old step off, which if yours is anything like ours, it comes off pretty easy. But there are still barrel clips inside of our tube step that we need to remove. There's a couple of ways to remove the barrel clips. It's going to depend on your particular tube steps.
Ours here do not go all the way around, being completely enclosed. There's an opening at the bottom so we can just knock ours straight down and they'll fall out to the ground. If yours is completely enclosed, you want to have these needle nose here to pull them out. Before we can replace these, we'll need to crush them so we can get them out. And we'll just continue that all the way down the rest of them. Now, if yours was completely enclosed where you can't just drive them out like we did, you can pull them out the top.
You are still going to need your screwdriver and mallet to crush them, pushing in all the pins inward by crushing it, and then pull it out with your needle nose pliers. We've gone ahead and finished removing this pad, and our back pad also needed to be replaced. We removed it as well. Before we install our new pads, it's a good idea to get all the dirt and debris cleaned off of your step there. We've got some Speed Shine from Griot's here. We're going to just clean it all up till it looks new again. Glass cleaner will work fine for chrome steps like this, but you can pick up some Speed Shine here, which is great for all surfaces, including your vehicle, right here at etrailer.com.Now we're all clean. We're ready to install our new pad. We'll start by placing the new barrel nuts that come in your kit down in the holes. So you just want to get that started and use your rubber mallet to just tap it in place. We'll repeat that for all the remaining holes. And a little tip, if you have them offset like when you here, the ones that are closer to the door can be easier to install if you actually open that door there, giving you a little more room to get your swing straight down on the nut. We'll now take our new step, and you want to line up all the pegs on the bottom of your step with your barrel nuts. Now you can't just press them in there. We're going to actually tap it in there with our mallet, but we need to make sure that they're all lined up before we begin doing that so we don't break any of them off.Once you've got them all lined up, you'll take your rubber mallet, and you just want to tap it down. Double checking if you're having anything that's not quite going all the way to make sure it's still lined up. And there you have it. With this side looking like new, we can go ahead and repeat the same process on the other side. And that completes our look at Westin's Replacement Step Pads.

Replace either the front or rear step pad on your Westin Platinum Series 4" wide oval step bar with this non-slip polymer plastic pad. The UV-resistant material will not crack or fade. Includes clips for installation.Excellent Follow Up service. Very happy with the response from Etrailer. I was sent a replacement part for my step bumper in a quick, timely manner. Interactions with their product support team was excellent. I needed to have a replacement to my original step bumper pad purchase as it appeared to be defective. We’ll definitely do business again with Etrailer.
The product information web page made it easy to find the correct replacement part and the prompt delivery was well-packaged with thorough install instructions. I am very happy with my purchase and the service I received. I highly recommend etrailer.com!
Ordered replacement nerf bar pads, ordering was simple, measurements were included, which simplified the exact fit, fast shipping, highly recommend E trailer.
Perfect fit for my nerf bars on my 2015 Toyota Tacoma. Only took about 30 minutes to install the first two so I ordered two more to finish. I'm super happy and they look great! It really helped being able to see the measurements of the pins on your site.
I order the wrong size and sent Anna an email and she responded and got the right size and she sent them to me in a week and now installing them. Thanks etrailer and Anna
I had to replace all four of my step pads on my Toyota Tacoma due to them cracking and chipping off. It started on my passenger side and then the drivers side. I thought about replacing the entire bar but the bars themselves were in great condition. So after shopping around, I found these and after serious consideration and measuring twice, I ordering these and they were perfect. They were exact to size and a perfect fit. If needed, I would order them again or def recommend them. You can’t go wrong with this product.
Easy to install. Great product

A year has passed, and I am still very pleased with my purchase. Pads have remained in place, and have shown no wear or effects from the Texas sun! Recommended!!
i purchased 4 steps and everything was great except for one plastic post was bent, and it must have kinda made it a little weak, for the life of me could not get it to go into one of the barrel clips ,it just kept folding under,so i hope it lasts for a while because one end wont stay down flat on the step bar, other then that it was great

that one step still will not stay down tight on the step bar, probably gonna have to replace it soon, can not leave it like that
I'm very happy with your product i will be ordering again once they ruined again
Exact fit for my Westin nerf bars. I would have given this 5 stars, but this replacement pad is longer than the others and requires a total of 6 replacement barrel clips, whereas IT WAS ONLY SHIPPED WITH 5 REPLACEMENT CLIPS. Both of my replacement pads only came with 5 clips each. Good thing I ordered extras, or I would have had to "recycle" a couple of old clips.
On another note, etrailer's customer support was outstanding--5 stars. They made an error on my shipment and shipped out the correct item the very next day. Thank you George & Rebecca--great service!!
Good quality and perfect fit.
Had issues with the payment, apart from that team is great and delivery fast
I always go to Etrailer first for my truck and trailer needs. Delivery is always faster than stated and products are exactly as described. These replacement pads are an exact match to replace deteriorating ones from factory and easy to install. Be sure to measure what you are replacing!!
The pads fit my 2011 Tacoma Pre-runner perfectly. Got them exactly when I was told they would be here. etrailer kept me advised the entire time. Even got an email telling me to call if there are any problems or concerns. Very good customer oriented folks. Their Web site was easy to understnd too. Step pads are a bit confusing if you don't know what you're looking for. Oh, the price was right too.
This step pad was exactly what I wanted when I ordered. It is a replacement for an old existing step pad on my Toyota Tacoma, and I was very happy to find this product at etrailer.com
Replaced 2 step pads for my westin step bars. After I placed new clips in bar, step pad went in very nicely with the help of a rubber mallet. My truck step bars look like new now. Sorry no picture
The product is perfect and exactly what I needed. It matches my existing step pad perfectly. It was easy to install also. Always order all 5 barrel clips to install the new step pad, because when you pull out the old step pad, it ruins the old barrel clips. I'm glad I ordered all 5!
Great product!
Just what my husband needed for his tru ck.
I ordered this product because I needed to replace the front and rear step pads on the passenger side of my ‘14 Tacoma. I received them in a timely manner. They were a perfect fit and so when the driver side pads started cracking, I didn’t hesitate to reorder. They look really nice and I think I like them better than the originals.
Great service. Quick delivery and great replacement part! Fits perfect.
Product as advertised as described. Most challenging part was removing old barrel clips - takes a bit of patience to get them out. Installation of new pads was easy by following instructions. Only rating 4 out of 5 because the old pads eventually deteriorated but living in Florida with the sunshine is part of the problem.
I Just received the replacement step pads for my Tacoma. The product ordered was delivered fast (Puerto Rico) and in perfect conditions. I ordered from you because it was the best price I found after checking other suppliers. The quality of the product I bought is much better of what I thought. To the people of Puerto Rico I say, this is a supplier you can rely on. Thank very much.

No complaints! The product seems to withstand the elements and I know I can step on them with confidence without fear of slipping when wet.
