Switching to LEDs means clearer, brighter light with less power draw. This 2-1/2" round Piranha light uses 4 white LEDs behind an amber lens, producing strong illumination that only draws 0.08 amps at 12V. It’s more efficient than old-school incandescent bulbs and doesn’t fade or flicker. With no fragile filaments to burn out, you get crisp lighting that lasts up to 50 times longer.
Rough roads and heavy use can shake ordinary lights apart, but the surface-mounted diode (SMD) construction on this Piranha light keeps it solid. The LED circuit board is built to handle shock and vibration while improving heat distribution and allowing for a thinner housing. It’s a rugged setup that holds steady where standard bulbs fail.
You don’t need a separate reflector taking up space or breaking the smooth lines of your trailer. The built-in reflex reflector does the job on its own, keeping your setup legal and streamlined. It’s an easy way to simplify mounting while maintaining both visibility and compliance.
This Piranha light installs cleanly in a recessed grommet mount and connects with an industry-standard 2-prong plug. It’s designed around common trailer setups, so you can reuse existing holes or wiring if you’re replacing a similar light. The finished look is neat, low-profile, and ready for the road.
For safety lighting that’s seen from the right angles, the P2 rating gives you a 90-degree beam spread—45 degrees to each side of centerline. Today, we're going to take a look at the Piranha LED trailer clearance or side marker light with reflector. Now, this is an important component to have on your trailer to make sure that you're visible, even at night, and even if your trailer is parked somewhere, you want to make sure that people can still see it. You'll see our reflector there makes it easy to spot. And then, we'll also have our light itself. We plug in our two wire prong, this is sold separately. You can find it here at etrailer.com.
Then our light turns on there, and we'll be seen.This has four diodes, so one, two, three, four, and it's P2 rated. Basically, that means that from the side, we'll be able to see it at about a 45 degree angle in either direction. So, if you want to use this as a side marker light, it's only going to be good for that side, and if you want it for a clearance light, you'd have to get another one. Basically, if you think of a corner, this isn't going to reach around the corner, it's only going to be for one side of it.As far as our dimensions, the light is about 2 and 1/2 inches in diameter and about 15/16ths deep going from the face of our light to the little prongs on the back, or just under an inch. You can also pickup a grommet to go with this light to give it a little bit of road shock protection.
Kind of finishes the look of the light, and this will actually hold the light in place if you put it in to a three inch diameter hole, since it has this little lip to hold it in place, and that still allows our wiring to come through. Now, this is sold separately using part number 142-1A, and you can find that here at etrailer.com, as well.Our light, again, is P2 rated, DOT compliant, and made in the USA, and the LEDs have unlimited lifetime warranty from Peterson. And that's going to do it for our look at the Piranha LED trailer clearance or side marker light.

Replaced poorly designed original non weathersealed lamps on my travel trailer with these LED lamps. They have 2 LEDs and a 6" pigtail for your wiring pleasure.
Ordered 4 of your 2 1/2 inch round LED marker lights. Price was good, shipping time was good, but you placed large stickers over two of the lenses. It took a lot of effort and time to remove the goo off the lights from these stickers.
Quality is great. They were a perfect match and fit for my Felling trailer.
I installed these lamps and my daughter’s 2012 Thor RV to replace the outdated and faded incandescent lights. They were amazing from the start. I get nothing but compliments on how bright and clear they are along with how easy they are to see. I’d recommend them to anyone with old style lamps on their trailer or RV.
Replaced poorly designed lights on a travel trailer with these. The original lamps were not weather proof and used tensioned contacts that were prone to oxidation and corrosion from the elements. These LED lamps are sealed in epoxy so the elements will not affect them. Each lamp has two LEDs and a 6" wiring pigtail.
