This 2" round Piranha LED light puts out a bright, clean red glow while drawing only 0.05 amps at 12V. The three white LEDs behind the red lens are efficient, lasting up to 50 times longer than old incandescent bulbs without fragile filaments to burn out. It runs on 9V–16V DC systems and gives you dependable lighting without wasting power or needing constant bulb changes.
For trailers that see rain, mud, or full submersion, this light’s one-piece design keeps moisture out. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together so water can’t get in and corrode the circuit board or damage the diodes. Rough roads and constant vibration can break traditional lights. The surface-mounted diode (SMD) circuit board in this light is tougher and spreads heat better, which means it handles bumps and shock without flickering or failing. The recessed-mount design installs neatly using a grommet (sold separately) that fits into a pre-cut hole. It accepts a standard 2-prong plug for quick hookup, so wiring is simple. At just 15/16" thick, the light sits close to the surface for a clean finish that looks good and stays out of the way.
With its P2 rating, this light projects a 90-degree beam that’s bright and easy to see from straight on. When properly mounted, it works as a clearance or side marker light, keeping your trailer visible to others on the road and helping meet lighting requirements safely and clearly.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Piranha round LED clearance or side marker trailer light with the red lens. Now this is an LED trailer light that'll function as either a clearance or a side marker light when it's properly mounted. This is a Piranha series light, which means it combines the modern design with nice vibrant lighting for a unique look. I do wanna show you how bright the light is. I've got some 12 volt power here.
We're gonna go ahead and plug in our 12 volt connector and if we go ahead and oops, turn on our 12 volt power, you can see the red light come on. I'm gonna go ahead and turn off the overhead light. And it is a red light. Sometimes in the video it might look more of a yellow, but it is actually a red light. I am gonna zoom out just to show you from a distance, and again, this can be used as a clearance or side marker light.
Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights. I'm gonna go ahead and unplug the power. It is a sonically-sealed waterproof housing and lens unit. It does use durable SMD construction of the LED circuit board so it'll better withstand shock and vibration, allows for improved heat distribution and thinner construction. The LEDs in this make great replacements for incandescent lights.
They'll last about 50 times longer and they're more efficient 'cause they'll provide brighter light with less power output. And there's no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments that are gonna be broken. It is a red lens over three white LEDs. It is compatible with a 12 volt DC system and it is designed, it's a recess mount that you mount it with a grommet. Now the grommet's not included.
We do all that separately on our website. It's listed on this product page, it's part number 146-18 and it does accept the industry-standard two prong plug. This light is DOT, Department of Transportation, compliant. It's a P2 rated light and it is made in the U.S.A. Last thing I'm gonna do is give you some dimensions on this. The power draw on this light at 12 volts, it's 0.05 amps. So the diameter, we measure diameters right at two inches and the depth, or thickness, is right at about 15/16 of an inch thick. Great price, fast shipping cant ask for better
Replaced poorly designed lights on a travel trailer with these. The original lamps were not weather proof and used tensioned contacts that were prone to oxidation and corrosion from the elements. These LED lamps are sealed in epoxy so the elements will not affect them. Each lamp has two LEDs and a 6" wiring pigtail.
