Features to know about

Brighter Signals and Parking Visibility: 6-1/2" Amber Incandescent Light

Need clear turn and parking lights that stand out day or night? This oval incandescent trailer light handles both jobs with a bright amber lens that easily catches attention. It uses a standard 12V DC setup and draws 2.4 amps for the turn signal and 0.50 amps for the tail light. The 6-1/2" long by 2-1/4" tall housing keeps it compact while giving plenty of light output to mark your trailer clearly.

Built to Handle Water and Shock: Sealed, Submersible Design

If your trailer sees rain, spray, or boat launches, this light is ready for it. The polycarbonate lens and housing are sealed together to make it waterproof and submersible. Inside, a shockproof socket protects the bulb from bumps or vibration so you can count on it staying lit even after long hauls or rough terrain.

Simple, Clean Mounting: Flush-Mount with Grommet Fit

Getting a smooth, factory-style finish is easy with this recessed-mount light. It installs in a cutout using a rubber grommet (A70GB – sold separately) for a snug, flush fit against the trailer body. If you’d rather not cut a hole, an optional mounting bracket (BK70BB – sold separately) lets you surface-mount it neatly instead.

Straightforward Wiring: Standard 3-Prong Plug Connection

No custom wiring needed here. The light connects with a standard PL-3 three-prong plug that works with right-angle or straight pigtails (A47PB or A45PB – sold separately). Just plug in, wire by function, and you’re ready to go with reliable power and grounding every time you hook up the trailer.

Thanks for the follow up Rk, we do recommend to disconnect the wiring harness before launching your boat at the ramp, but happy to hear this is working out for you.

by:

Great! Ordered all lights for my 15 year old boat trailer. Quick shipping. etrailer had everything in stock as usual. Can depend on etrailer for all trailer parts.

by:

Lights work as desired.

Excellent
Customer Service.
Repeat Buyer.

by:

im actually disappointed. the first one i put in filled up with water and burned up the first time i backed in the boat. i took off and seen it was cracked, had to have been manufacturing as i only live 2 miles from the ramp. and now the 2nd one has already went out. i guess i'll spend more money to replace the 2 flawed trailer lights. the original was 7 years old, now i've went through 2 of yours.

by:

The amber lights are of poor quality. I have red, amber, and white lights on my boat trailer in various places (side, reverse, back/break lights). I replaced both amber lights because the went bad. The amber lights have both blow out...again. These are the only lights that have burned out on my 5 year old boat trailer.

by:

Exactly what I was looking for. I have four of these lights on my Dart trailer, two red and two amber. One went out in the middle of a trip last year and it was a couple of days before I found a replacement at a truck stop. Now I'm prepared for the next time.

by:

I replace these lights on my master-tow trailer constantly. The filaments just can't tolerate the lack of suspension on the trailer when it's empty and they blow out.

No issues with the light other than that. I would recommend investing in the LED replacements rather than these.

Hello Ryan - the ST75AB lights do come with shock mounted bulbs, but excessive vibration with a lack of suspension could definitely cause problems. I would suggest moving to the STL75AB LED version. Optronics offers a LIFETIME LED Warranty, so you shouldnt see any problems no matter what type of vibration your trailers endures.

by:

My husand has installed an aluminum flat bed on our pickup truck to replace the original rusted out one. He used the amber turn signal/ parking light to replace the red lights that came with the flat bed. The lights were a perfect fit and are just what we needed.

The trailer lights have spent time out in the rain, snow and 90 degree temperatures and are still looking and working great.

by:

by:

by:

Great service and timely shipping. Exactly what I needed.

  • Replacement Clearance Lights To Replace Monarch 9059
I have a clearance light replacement option for you, but the Monarch 9059 Clearance lights you have on yout 1975 Bethany Pop-up camper Compact 560 are not made any more, and replacement lenses for them have also been discontinued. I recommend replacing the clearance lights with the Optronics LED Trailer Clearance or Side Marker Light w/ Reflector - 6 Diodes - Rectangle - Red Lens # MCL44RB1 as they are the closest in size to your current lights as they measure 4" long x 1-1/2" wide x 15/16"...

  • Recommended Converter To Split the Turn Signal From the Brake Signal
I recommend the Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter, # 118158, for this application. This converter will split out the turn signals from the brake light wire and you can run the specified turn signal wire to new amber signals. You will have to find the appropriate amber lights for your specific customized vehicle. We have oval options like the Sealed, 6-1/2" Oval Trailer Turn Signal and Parking Light-Amber, # ST70AB. We also have rectangle options like the Bargman LED Upgrade Kit...

  • Locating Tail Lights to Replace Monarch 9059 Assemblies on Trailer
I wasn't able to find too much information on the Monarch 9059 trailer light assemblies that you referenced, other than the fact that they do not appear to be available any longer. Because replacement lenses might be difficult to find, your best option may be to simply replace the light assemblies themselves with ones that feature matching dimensions. We have a nice selection of oval amber lights that look similar to the Monarch model that you have. I recommend taking a couple measurements...

  • Wiring Trailer To Separate Turn Signal From Combined System
You can add a converter to the trailer wiring to separate the brake and turn signals. You will also need to add an amber turn lights to your trailer. You can use the tail light converter, part # 118158. This will separate the turn signal circuit from the brake light circuit. This should be installed on the trailer in a way that keeps it protected from the elements. You will need to use the wires from your trailer wiring harness and attach them in the following manner. Attach the right...

  • Is The Peterson 421KRUS Offered In Amber?
I do have another option that will match what you need, but Peterson does not offer an amber light to match the # 421KRUS, unfortunately. With that said, you will want the Optronics # ST70AB. This incandescent light is the exact same size as the Peterson (6-1/2" x 2-1/4"), but it does not include the gasket or wire. For that you will need the # A70GB and # A47PB.

  • Recommendation of Turn Signal and Parking Light for Off-road use
I recommend the amber trailer turn signal and parking light # ST70AB as it's sealed and waterproof. The rubber grommet # a70gb will provide shock mount protection extending the life of the lamp. The Optronics # MCL157AB could possibly be used as a turn signal but not recommended. The grommet you referred # A56GB would work as it will provide shock protection especially that you will be off-road. It will seat properly once the light is plugged into the grommet. The LED equivalent is amber...

  • Recommended Replacement Optronics Amber Trailer Light For Wesbar 108121
The Wesbar 108121 light has been discontinued but we do have a great replacement for you. Part # ST70AB measures 6-1/2 inches long x 2-1/4 inches wide x 2-3/8 inches deep. If you prefer an LED light you can use part # STL70AB.

  • Is the Optronics Trailer Light # ST70AB Flush Mounted
Yes, the Optronics Trailer Light # ST70AB that you referenced is flush mounted and would be an excellent choice for you. It does have a ground wire connection that you would want a Right Angle 3-Wire Pigtail # A47PB to use for installation. You would need to plug this into the back of the # ST70AB and then wire it by function to your trailer wiring. You might also be interested in purchasing a Rubber Grommet # a70gb to make installation easier.
