Question:
Does the light have a ground wire connection? Is it flush mounted? I need an amber turnsignal/parking lamp unit that preferably is flush mounted. If this isnt the best application for what I need is there another?

Yes, the Optronics Trailer Light # ST70AB that you referenced is flush mounted and would be an excellent choice for you. It does have a ground wire connection that you would want a Right Angle 3-Wire Pigtail # A47PB to use for installation. You would need to plug this into the back of the # ST70AB and then wire it by function to your trailer wiring.
You might also be interested in purchasing a Rubber Grommet # a70gb to make installation easier.
