Good visibility matters when the light fades or in poor weather. This reflector tape meets DOT certification standards, so it helps mark your trailer or project clearly to others on the road. You get four strips in total, each measuring 18 inches long and 2 inches wide, giving you plenty of coverage for marking multiple spots or running a continuous line across a flat surface. The rectangular shape and surface-mount style make it easy to apply wherever you need extra visibility.
The clear 7-inch white section followed by an 11-inch red section mirrors the pattern used on professional trailers and equipment. It quickly catches headlights and defines the trailer’s outline, helping other drivers judge distance and length more easily when they approach from behind or the side.

Today we'll be taking a look at the Optronics 7" long white by 11" long red Conspicuity Reflective Tape in a quantity of four in 18" long strips, Part #RE418T. This also comes as a quantity of eight, Part #RE18T. The Optronics Conspicuity Reflective Tape comes in 18" long strips by 2" wide. This reflective kit is rated at over 600 candle power per square foot. It is also hermetically sealed and unbreakable. It does mount on flat, as well as, curved surfaces and it is DOT Certified, as well as, being rated for seven years of use. It also complies with the J1967 for vehicle conspicuity material. Now let's go ahead and go over here to our enclosed trailer and we'll show you how to put them on.
As you notice, this trailer does not already have the conspicuity tape installed on it, as it doesn't meet the federal requirements where it's needed. We're adding them to give us an extra safety feature and adding more visibility to others around us. We're going to go ahead and line it up right here along the bottom of the trailer. We'll first go ahead and clean the back area with just a little bit of glass cleaner and a paper towel. Now as you can see, the back has a split in it that allows you to easily pull it off. It also has a checkered style pattern that gives high visibility, as well as, reflectivity to it.
It lets you know right here that it is DOT compliant by having a DOT-C2 stamped right onto the strip. I will go ahead and line up where we want to put it, simply hold it in place and we'll peel back the small portion right here. Go ahead and take the backing and fold it over and press firmly in on the strip to make sure it adheres fully to the side of our trailer. Now, since four strips come with the package, we'll go ahead and apply the other three the same way we did this one. Now as you can see we've added significant reflectivity to our trailer by adding the Optronics Conspicuity Reflective Tape strips, Part #RE418T. .

Thick sticker reflectors, perfect for any trailer
Easy to put on and reflect very well. Make sure you know exactly where you want to place them on the trailer because if you try to pull it off it will tear. Great price and very functional.

everything the on-line catalog said they were. came in good shape not bent or tore up. Seem to have good adhesive on the back of the strip.

Amazing that in my salty, corrosive, coastal wet climate, that these are not peeling or de-laminating on the trailer I applied them to.
Just what I needed to add some marking to the ramps on my open car trailer. The only lighting have is the two combo lights attached to the fender - no lights on the very rear of the ramps. These will fill the gap until I can work out a viable soultion. They are very reflective and so far have held up very well. (I installed a set 3 years ago on the corners of the trailer)
These are the best reflectors you can get anywhere, and both the price and service from Etrailer are top notch!
In fact, we got status and shipping notifications right away so we KNEW that the order was ion progress, and the delivery was on its way!
Etrailer knows how to give great customer service - which is all too rare these days. We will definitely order from them again - so should you!
Purchase this item for my small Continental boat trailers as an extra safety measures in case i break down in Miami FL busy highways they are the perfect length for side mount and the reflection in low and high light setting is perfect thank you guys God bless....
Easy to put on and appears to be durable after a few months. I had enough for cargo carrier and bike rack, with replacement stash.
Exactly what I was looking for to add to the trailer hitch cargo carrier that for some reason didn't have anything reflective on it.
Easy to cut to fit my application (the edges of a trailer-hitch cargo carrier). Highly reflective. Stayed in place during a 4,000 mile winter road trip.
A perfect product to replace original equipment , keeps the trailers looking in top shape. It also keeps the resale value up, if one decides to sell or trade later. The Fulton FHD2500 Drop Leg was easy to install and saves me the trouble of carrying extra blocks of wood around to place under the old jack to get the trailer tongue up to height of hitch ball, time saver.

And great reflectionness?? Now when I crash my trailer lights at least there'll be something back there to show I tried.

After a year in the weather and sun the tape is like new.
Just what is needed to upgrade the safety of my trailer.
They are very well made, reflect great at night, and didn’t blow off going 70 mph on the interstate. What more could you ask
