Question:
I purchased this rack for use on my 2015 Hyundai Accent Hatchback. Im trying to determine How far below my hatch window, the top of the rack will be. If the ground clearance of the rack is 9inch on the Accent Sedan, Im assuming it will be similar on the Hatchback my car is very low to the ground. How high is the top rack of the carrier? I havent driven with a cargo rack on a car, and Im wondering if it would be helpful to purchase markers like they use on plows for more of a visual indicator to both myself and others. Any suggestions??

You would be looking at about 9 inches from the ground to the bottom the receiver on your 2015 Hyundai Accent hatchback using a trailer hitch such as # 24884. To that 9 inches you would add 1-1/2 inches for the wall thickness of the receiver and the opening. Then you would add about another 6 inches for the height of the basket part of 17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs Item # C18145.
That is a total of 16-1/2 inches from the ground to the top of the carrier when installed in the hitch. With that information you should be able to tell about how much distance there will be between the top of the carrier and the bottom of the rear window.
The carrier comes with a reflector in the middle but you can always add some conspicuity tape, # RE418T, to make it even more visible.
