Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Optronics 3 function Smoke series LED trailer taillight. Now, this is a low-profile LED trailer light that'll serve three functions, serves the taillight, stop light and turn signal functions. And I do have it hooked up to some 12 volt power right now. Just to show you what we're talking about, we'll go ahead and turn the power on.
And there you can see the nine LEDs light up. And if I turn off the overhead lights, you can see how bright they are. And again, this would be the taillight function. When you hit your brakes, that would be your brake function and see how bright it gets, a lot brighter. And then the turn signal function would pretty much be the same brightness as the brakes.
We'll go and turn back on our overhead lights. Go ahead and turn off our power. Now, this is a sonically sealed polycarbonate housing and lens, which is waterproof, so it makes the lights submersible. The lens is actually a smoked lens, so it works great with blacked-out style on your vehicle or trailers. And it's a durable SMT construction, which means surface mount technology construction of the LED circuit board.
This will let it better withstand shock and vibration, allows for improved heat distribution. As we mentioned, it's nine LEDs. They make great replacements for your incandescent lights 'cause the first lasts 50 times longer. They're more efficient 'cause they'll provide brighter light with less power output. And of course, no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments to break.
And there's a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. Now, this is a surface mount design. Now, the hardware install is not included, but if you look at the ends, there's two holes here that you put two screws to hold it into place. It is a hard wire design. You can see the three wire design, white wires for your ground, blacks for your power, red is for your break and turn signal. This is for a quantity of one light. Now, the measurement on this, the overall length, if we go from one end to the other, you can see it's gonna be about 12 5/8 inches long. The width of it is right about 1 inch wide. And the depth, it's only about a half an inch deep. And the last thing, you can see the mounting holes, one on each end. The measurement on those center to center is right at 11 3/4 inches. But that should do it for a look at the Optronics 3 function Smoke series LED trailer taillight.
