Tired of dim or short-lived incandescent lights? This 2-1/2" round LED light puts out a bright red glow using two long-lasting diodes that stay efficient year after year. Keeping your trailer compliant and visible doesn’t have to mean adding more parts. This light has a built-in reflex reflector, so you don’t need a separate reflector to meet safety requirements. It’s a clean, simple setup that keeps your trailer looking tidy while still being DOT compliant.
When you want others to see your trailer from all angles, the PC rating on this light makes the difference. It throws light 90 degrees to either side of center for a full 180-degree beam pattern. That means it can serve as both a clearance and side marker light when mounted properly—bright from the front and visible from the sides for safer travel day or night.
This surface-mount design sits flat against your trailer and doesn’t need a cutout—just two mounting holes spaced 1-5/8" apart. The 2-wire pigtail makes wiring easy: one lead for power and one for ground. A solid polycarbonate base and acrylic lens hold up well under vibration and weather exposure, so once it’s on, it stays put and reliable.

Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at an LED clearance or side marker light with a built in reflex reflector. This small, round trailer light functions as both a clearance light and a side marker light when properly mounted. It's an LED system. LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer. They burn brighter and are much more efficient.
With LEDs, you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments. This one features a really nice red lens with a built in reflex reflector. It is a surface mount installation. So it mounts directly on the surface of the trailer. We got three mount holes right there and you gain access to those by removing the lens, which you can do right here through the access point.
So you can easily get the lens off there and gain access the mount holes as needed. Mounting hardware is not included. When it comes to the wiring, it's a two wire design. White wire's the ground wire.Red wire's our power wire and it does require at least a 5/8" diameter hole at the installation surface or area for the wire base to fit into. This is SAE approved and it's a P2PC rated light.
Taking a look at the overall dimensions, real quick, starting with the overall diameter, so measuring edge to edge, it measures about 2 1/2" and then from the back of the housing right here to the front of the unit, front of the lens, that's about 1" deep. That's how far it sticks out from the installation surface and then our mount holes are all separated and apart from one another on center by 1 5/8". Let's go ahead and hook it up to power and we'll turn off our overhead light so you can see it in a low light setting. So you can see here the light sends out a nice, consistent signal. You can really see that reflex reflector that's built into the lens.
Again, this is an LED system. It has to diodes or two LEDs.So the multi-diode design really helps optimize the overall light output of the unit and that's gonna do it for today's look at the LED clearance or side marker light with the built in reflex reflector.

These lights match the factory OEM style. I was glad to find them, took me until this year to take the mis-matched ones off and re-seal things with these, but they look awesome. eTrailer is always a great resource for my many trailers' needs.
Got red and amber. Exactly like our original 2018 Retro RV lights; but true, they need to be installed upside down to fit original screw holes. We caulked inside around screw holes in place of some old moldy putty from factory, and also around light after installation. Perfect. Finished changing 3 lights in about an hour.
