Updated 04/17/2019 | Published 04/16/2019 >
Question:
Can I ground the white wire to the siding with a mounting screw? I only have a one wire system in my 1957 model.

Expert Reply:
You cannot properly ground the LED Clearance Light part # 328-K-500B into the siding of the trailer. You want to ground the white wire to a clean bare metal portion of the trailer frame.
If you are not able to access the trailer's frame, you would need to find where the other lights on the trailer ground to and splice into that ground wire to ground the clearance light. You can also run the wire to the trailer connector's main ground and ground in the same spot.
