Cranking by hand gets old fast, especially when you’re trying to hitch up after a long day. This jack can be powered with any 18-volt or 24-volt cordless drill (not included), so raising or lowering your trailer takes only seconds. Just swap the handle for the included drill attachment and squeeze the trigger to lift or lower. The jack still works manually with the sidewind crank if your drill battery runs out, and the rubber grip keeps it comfortable to use.
Saltwater, rain, and road grime won’t stop this jack. The steel construction uses zinc-nickel inner and outer tubes topped with a rough, wrinkled black powder coat that’s rated for 700-hour salt spray. It’s marine-grade and even submersible in saltwater, so corrosion isn’t a worry. You can feel the difference when a jack doesn’t bind or rattle under load. This one uses a nylon sleeve between the tubes and precision-machined steel for a clean, smooth glide. When it’s time to push the trailer by hand into a tight spot, the built-in caster wheel makes it easy. There’s no need to take the jack apart for upkeep. A built-in grease zerk fitting makes lubrication simple, keeping the gears protected and extending the life of the mechanism. It bolts right onto trailer frames up to 4-3/4" tall x 3-3/4" deep and gives you 14" of lift for smooth hitching and leveling every time.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this Trailer Valet JXS Side Wind Trailer Jack with the foot plate and the wheel, and also a drill-powered option, has a 1,600 pound lift capacity. Now this utility jack is a manual hand crank jack that'll let you raise and lower your boat or your recreational trailer. It includes this hand crank that just snaps onto the drive shaft and it allows you to turn clockwise to extend out your jack, counterclockwise to retract the jack. What's nice about it is you can remove the crank handle and it can work as a power jack using this drill adapter. Basically, you'll use this with a 20-volt or 24-volt cordless non-impact drill that has either a 3/8th inch or 1/2 inch chuck.
Once you put this into your drill there, you can attach it to the drive shaft and then you can power the jack either out or in. Eliminates the need to have to manually crank it. Now this is a pipe mount jack. It'll bolt around the trailer frame, as you can see, includes all the mounting hardware. And what's nice is when this is installed, you can see this pull pin here.
It is a swivel mount. So you pull out your clip, pull out this pull pin, and it'll allow you to swivel this on the pipe section and let you easily stow the jack parallel to your trailer frame and out of the way. And then when you need to use it, you just again, pull the pin and clip, swing it back down, put the pin and clip in, and then you're ready to jack the trailer up with it. Application, this will fit trailer frames up to 4 and 3/4 inches tall by 3 and 3/4 inches deep. Now when you do install this, it does require about 8 inches of clearance along your frame to install this mounting bracket.
Now we mentioned the foot plate. It is a very large removable foot plate. It'll minimize sinking in soft ground. If you do wanna remove it, you just pull, take the clip out and the foot plate will come out. It does come with this caster wheel with the pin, so you can easily install that if you wanna move your trailer around.
Now, right here in the back has this grease zerk fitting right here for easy maintenance, allows you to attach a grease gun to it pump grease into your gears. So no need to have to remove or re lubricate your gears to supply your grease gun to there and lubricate it. Now this will resist rust and corrosion, even in areas with salt. It has a nice wrinkled black powder coat finish to it, has a 700-hour salt spray rating. The inner and outer tubes are zinc-nickel plated. And this jack is submersible in salt water. A few specs on this, the static capacity using the foot plate is 5,000 pounds. If you remove the foot plate and use the wheel, it drops down to 1,200 pounds. Now that's static capacity, lift capacity, if you use the manual hand crank, it's gonna be 1,600 pounds. And the lift capacity using a power drill is 800 pounds. Now the bracket height, this is your mounting bracket here. So the bracket height, which is measured from the center of the bracket to the ground, when it's retracted like it is right now, is gonna be 11 and 1/2 inches. If we totally extend it out, has a screw travel of 14 inches. Then if we measured the extended height from the center to the ground, it's gonna be 25 and 1/2 inches. The outer tube diameter, it's 2 and 1/4 inches. Inner tube diameter is 2 inches. But that's gonna do it for a look at this Trailer Valet JXS Side Wind Trailer Jack with the foot plate and the wheel and the drill-powered option.

The only suggestion I would have for the mfr of the product would be to size and machine the shank of the socket that raises and lowers the jack to work with either a drill or a driver. Otherwise it’s a great product and I’d buy again and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a well built trailer jack.

Does not lift the weight like it should.
I replaces a 2K manual jack that worked fine, but I couldn't open the tailgate with it attached because of the location. I bought this one because I could mount it a few inches back and the tailgate does open fine. I use this cargo trailer as a work shop and the jack to level it. With this jack I have to use a bottle jack to lift the tongue off the ball now. I lower to level the trailer ok. But going back up it will go 1/2 way with a drill, then a little more with the handle, but to get the full lift to the ball I have to use a bottle jack. I think it would work fine with a 1000 lb. tongue weight but no more than that.
The only reason this product gets a 4 star is because I would prefer that the adapter is a universal fit. Now I'm researching a socket to go over the adapter and an extra adapter, and that's expensive. Other than that, I really like this jack, works really well in a tight space. Easy to install.
Install was easy and it's doing its job. Shout out to Trailer Valet's customer service, who went out of their way to find a detailed schematic drawing of a part not covered in the manual/website when I asked.
Very well product. Convenient to lower and lift the jack with the drill attachment. Only issue I had was the mounting the mounting bracket wasn’t long enough for the screws to catch but I made do with some other brackets I had.

Better than expected, remove hitch pin, drop the extension down, install the hitch pin, lift trailer, it's that simple. Great Product!
Actually I install this valet trailer jack on my boat for the reason that every time I was going to clean the boat I have to disconnect from the hitch work really good for me. But the reason that is steel got corrosion if you guys made a galvanized with the drill up and down will be incredibly.
I tried getting a electric jack for my Ranger boat trailer they don’t make anything so I bought this one and it’s amazing put it on in 15 minutes don’t waste your money on a electric get this one use with cordless drill or a hand crank if drill goes dead

Worked out perfectly for my trailer was able to remove the factory one which was hitting the tailgate on my truck when I opened it and replace it with this one in my opinion much much better quality very happy with the stand.
Does not lift the boat trailer. Bought this to replace a previous Amazon purchased drill powered jack after that one was stolen. This thing doesn’t even lift the boat trailer. Pretty disappointing to say the least. I’m not sure if there’s even a return option since there’s no account for this site.
Came in as advertised nice looking functional jack works well with hand crank and by drill only problem I see is when cranked up fully there is only 6 inches of clearance from base will find out if it’s an issue. The reason I bought this was the jack that came with trailer interfered with the tailgate on truck which I need down when camper is in bed.

OMG -- after I received this first drill-powered jack I bought two more for two other trailers I own and use! I'm now 78, and soooo wish these were available fifty years ago! The one and only "negative" is if you run your 1/2" battery impact at full speed and come to either up- or- down limit -- there is no "cushion". 1st time for me, I was running Milwaukee at slow rpm, and my wrist just got a tad twisted. BUT, I wager -- SOMETHING TO BE AWARE OF -- if running at full speed -- a possibld broken wrist might even happen? Other than this, again, I'd rate them all at twenty -- on the 10-scale :)! (I marked shaft with a Sharpie before end-limit, so I know when end is near.) Another real "plus" of unit is, without a crank on it, I'm sure theft-potential is reduced! And, to have the provided crank locked in truck sure is nice to have, should impact battery die... geo
I received the Valet JSX and immediately installed it on my trailer. My trailer has a 2” x 4” beam that I attached it to so installation was quick and easy. This trailer jack is exactly what I needed for my trailer. It’s sturdy, made of heavy duty material, built to last, and looks sharp on my trailer. I thought the tongue weight might be too heavy for the drill but I used my cordless Dewalt with my 20v battery and it handled it with no problems. I definitely recommend this jack.
I purchased this jack to replace the inexpensive unit that came on my new trailer. The only issue i experienced was that the back brackets were not long enough to mount the unit sideways. My trailer frame was reinforced, so the jack would not fit in the recommended orientation. I used the plates from the original, and it works great. No more bungee straps holding the jack handle up!
My old center-mount jack was causing me to bottom out when backing into customer driveways since my trailer rides pretty low. This JXS swivel jack is perfect for my situation. It is also much more sturdy and well-built than the original. The drill crank option is great. Just be careful of your wrists as it does require a lot of torque when using the drill method.
Just installed yesterday. Overall, the quality seems nice. I wish the brackets were an inch or so taller so it could’ve mounted over/under my rail, but I modified my trailer to allow for thru-hole bolted connections. Crank operation is very smooth and the powder coat appears to be well done.
The internals wobble enough it looks amd feels like my Nitro ZV 20 deep V boat is going to fall over. I hate this product. All if this marketing is misleading it is truly a low quality manufacturing if a lose tolerance mechanism. Do not buy this l. I wish I could get my money back.
