Your oil bath hub is leaking, running low, or worn out, and now the trailer is parked. This replacement hub fits 9K or 10K general duty axles, supports idler or slip-on rotor setups, and keeps lubricant level visible during routine checks.
Hub generations can look nearly identical but have different dimensions and specifications that affect fit once installed. This model is built for 9K and 10K general duty axles, with the manufacturing break clearly listed in the specs. Check your axle's build date first. Verifying that it was manufactured after April 2013 ensures you have the correct hub configuration for your trailer and avoids compatibility issues during installation.
Run it as an idler hub or pair it with a slip-on rotor for a disc configuration without changing hub styles. The oil bath design keeps lubricant level visible during routine checks, so a quick look before pulling onto the interstate or backing down a boat ramp tells you what you need to know. Inspections stay simple, and the miles that follow feel steady instead of uncertain.
The inner race 382A, outer race 25520, and wheel studs come pre-installed. Bearings and seals are required separately to match your axle specs.
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this DeeMaxx galvanized oil hub for your 9K to 10K general duty axles. Now this trailer hub is designed for those Dexter 9,000 and 10,000 pound general duty axles made after April of 2013. And this is a heavy duty iron hub that can be used on either an idler axle or paired with a slip-on rotor if you're setting up disc brakes. Now, one of the great features is the oil bath design.
It's gonna let you check your lubricant level just by looking so you don't have to take the hub apart for routine checks. This does have the standard eight on six and 1/2 inch bolt pattern. So this is gonna be compatible with many heavy duty trailer setups. And in case you don't know, the bolt pattern can be measured pretty simply since this is an even number of bolt holes here, you're simply going to measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from the first, and then that will let you know how many inches it is. So from center to center here, this is going to be six and 1/2 inches on this eight on six and 1/2 inch bolt pattern.
So that's how you measure an even bolt pattern. Now this hub does come ready with the inner and outer races. They're already pressed in, and then the bearings in the seals are sold separately. You will need, as you see they're on your screen, a 387A inner bearing, and then you'll need a 25580 outer bearing. Then you'll also need a 10-51 seal.
We do have all of those options available here at etrailer. You can find those and add that to your order if you need those. So overall, this is going to be a sturdy, reliable hub that's built for high capacity trailers and its design makes maintenance a lot simpler down the road. If you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this or anything else that we carry, don't hesitate to reach out. We wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need.
Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
