Today we're going to take a look at the replacement shoe return spring for Dexter, Hayes/ALKO, and Fayette 12" electric trailer brakes. It's for a quantity of one. This will replace your shoe return spring on your Dexter, your Hayes/ALKO, or your Fayette 12" X 2" electric trailer brake assemblies. This part includes the one replacement spring. And just want to give you the overall length of this from this end to this end. You can see it's going to be right at about 7 3/4" in length.

I had a hard time finding these return springs locally. Saw this site and they had them in stock and were at my door within the week. Will be using them again soon for a new brake controller.
Exact replacement for what I'm replacing. This as a spring to hold brake pads together and return them to neutral position after engaged. Was an old Dexter brake hub, but these were the exact replacements.

Springs fit exactly as they're supposed to on my car hauler trailer with 12" Dexter brakes. Ordered 2 but only needed 1 since for some reason one side of the brakes the spring had rusted into the other side was perfect. Go figure. Keep the other for a spare.
I thought the price was a little more expensive for a spring but great purchase none the less. Highly recommend etrailer for all your needs.
I couldn't fine the springs locally and one of the places I went looking for the spring told me about etrailer.com. I ordered the parts and put them on my trailer. Brakes are working great.
