Today we're going to review YR500YW-7P. This is the Yates Ribbed Wobble Roller. This is a 3-inch wide wobble roller. This is will replace a worn-out roller on your boat trailers roller bunk. This roller is made of a thermal plastic rubber which will outlast a traditional rubber and it is a non-marking, non-scratching material. This roller does have ribbing, which will provide extra traction for slipper hulls.

This part is made in the USA. Now we'll do a few measurements on this. The width on this roller is 3 inches. The diameter is 5 inches and this roller is designed to be used on a roller bunk with a 7/8 inch diameter shaft. And, again, that's it for review part number YR500YW0-7P.

Replaced the rollers on my Karavan trailer with 60 new Yates ribbed wobble rollers from etrailer, installation was easy and quick, roller wasn't Karavan brand but met the specs and works perfect. May be too early to say but based on what I see of these new rollers I expect them to last a long time .

Restored a trailer for a Sirius 22 sailboat. Given the age of the boat and original trailer, etrailer was the only place I could find the 1" diameter shaft wobble rollers. Trailer 1 year on and the wheels work great!

This roller was an excellent replacement for the worn rubber rollers on my Shoreline Trailer. My 21' Chris Craft was difficult to get on and off the trailer because the old rollers were being crushed under the weight of the boat. After replacing the first 16 rollers my boat rolled easily on and off the rear section of the trailer. So needless to say I am ordering 16 more for the front section. The slightly larger diameter seems to help also. I am extremely pleased with this roller and highly recommend it for anyone experiencing similar issues. Also they look great.

Great product it really modernizes my EZ loader trailer. I was able to replace my back ones with my boat on the trailer. The front rollers are 1 1/8” shaft with c-clips and the rear ones are 5/8” shaft. I
replaced the front washers 1 1/4” x 16 outers only and the rear rollers 32 of the 5/8” shaft with 64 new washers. I also found with the rear rollers I had to
Shave the plastic spacers about 1/8” Everything looks great. Takes 15 years off the trailer Great Product and would recommend to everyone wanting to update their trailer and not have to deal with those ugly black marks the old rollers can leave behind. Hope this is helpful.

Measured and ordered the parts to replace the rollers on my EZLoader trailer. Shipment showed up super fast and was able to get it done right the first time. There is a helpful video on you tube that shows how to install these rollers. My boat now glides on and off my trailer!

How to Determine What Size Wobble Rollers are Needed to Replace Boat Trailer Rollers
You will have to go out and measure the rollers you have on your trailer if you are looking for an exact replacement to use. You will want to measure the overall diameter of them plus the diameter of the hole that runs down the middle of them. For example, the Yates Ribbed Wobble Roller # YR500YW-7P is 5 inches in diameter and designed to fit a 7/8 inch roller shaft.

Since your main concern is the marks on the hull of your boat I recommend going to the Yates TPR Ribbed Wobble Roller. These rollers are constructed of thermal-plasticized rubber which is a non-marking, non-scratching material. Is it Advisable to Change Diameter of Wobble Rollers
It would be best to stay with the sizes you currently have (assuming everything is working well), as changing the roller diameter can affect how the hull meets up with the bow stop or rollers if your trailer is so equipped. One of my friends had the same thing going on, and he decided to replace half the rollers one summer and the other half the next which worked out pretty well. Replacing a Bow Stop with a Bow Roller on a Boat Trailer
You will need to replace your bow stop with the same size bow roller. So if you have a 3" bow stop you will want the CE Smith Bow Roller Assembly with Bells for 3" Wide Bracket - PVC - 1/2" Shaft - Amber item # CE29334. Parts Needed For Replacing Yates 530R Rollers On 7/8" Shafts
Yes, there is an inner washer then the Yates Ribbed Wobble Roller # YR530R-7P, outer washer and finally the Hog Ring Retainer # CE10981. We do have the Angled Hog Ring Pliers # PTW88003 to aid in the installation of the retainers. You may also consider upgrading to the TPR Roller # YR500YW-7P. This thermoplastic rubber outlasts the standard rubber rollers and will not mark up the boat hull.

Replacement 4-3/8 by 3 Inch Wobble Rollers for a Boat Trailer
We have a couple of wobble rollers that are 4-3/8 inch diameter and 3 inches wide. We have # YR343R-6P which fits on a 3/4 inch shaft or # YR343R-5P that fits a 5/8 inch shaft. Roller # YR343R-6P is the best option since the center hole is slightly under 7/8 of an inch to fit a 3/4 inch shaft. Roller # YR500YW-7P has a center hole slightly under 1 inch to fit a 7/8 inch shaft but the diameter is 5 inches. If the slightly larger diameter would work then this is a good option. Otherwise...

We carry many styles of wobble rollers, but the only blue roller we carry uses an 1-1/8 inch shaft. Yates does offer 5 inch diameter wobble rollers that can be used with smaller shafts. The Yates # YR500YW-5P 5/8 inch shaft, # YR500YW-6P 3/4 inch shaft, and # YR500YW-7P 7/8 inch shaft are all 5 inches in diameter.
