Just attach each endcap to the shaft on the outside of the roller bracket, and then secure the endcap in place with a cap nut (or pal nut). Today we're going to review part no YR220-4. This is a Yates endcap for side guide boat rollers on your boat trailer. This end cap will mount to a side guide roller on your boat trailer and it provides additional surface area for improved boat-to-roller contact. This part is constructed of a heavy-duty rubber material. It is made in the USA and this same cap will install on the same bracked that your side guide rollers are mounted to. You will just attach this endcap to the shaft on the outside of the roller bracket and then secure the end cap in place with a cap nut or a pal nut.
These endcaps provide more surface area for better boat-to-trailer contact and they also help to keep your boat from being scratched by sharp bracket edges. We're going to do a few measurements on this end cap. The overall diameter is 2 inches and the width or the height will be 1 3/4 inches. This endcap will install onto a side guide roller that has a half inch diameter shaft and that should do it for part no. YR220-4..
