When you’re hauling gear of all shapes and sizes, you don’t want to remove your cover just to fit it all in. The Revolver X4s rolls up neatly against the cab and secures with hook-and-loop straps and buckles. Even rolled, it has an 8" diameter and stays low enough not to block your view. The no-drill, clamp-on install uses the inside bed rails, so you can still access your stake pockets for racks or tie-downs while keeping the cover tight and secure.
Keeping your tools and cargo safe doesn’t have to mean dealing with bulky locks. The patented rotational locking rails on the Revolver X4s automatically secure along the full length of the bed when the cover is closed. It latches whether your tailgate is open or shut, and when paired with a tailgate lock, your bed is completely sealed off. Integrated safety slat caps add another layer of protection while you roll and unroll the cover.
Rain, sun, and heavy use can wear down a regular cover fast. The Revolver X4s uses double-coated, reinforced vinyl over aluminum slats to stay rigid and tear-resistant. It’s rated for up to 400 lbs of evenly distributed weight, so it can handle gear stacked on top without sagging. The all-black underside is now rubberized for cleaner, long-term durability compared to older felt-backed designs.
Road grit and rain have a way of sneaking into truck beds—but not with this setup. The X4s has beveled edges and integrated bulkhead seals that direct water off the sides instead of into the bed. Its self-tensioning frame keeps the vinyl pulled tight in all conditions, so there’s no flapping or pooling during storms or car washes. You get near-watertight protection without needing drain tubes.
A tonneau should look like part of your truck, not an afterthought. This one sits just 1/4" above the bed rails for a flush, streamlined profile. Every component—from the aluminum underbody to the clamps, seals, and side rails—has a matte black finish for a uniform, modern appearance. The updated rear corner caps and flat side rail seals give it clean lines that stay true to the truck’s shape.

Glad to hear you are still happy with it, Todd! These hard roll up covers are definitely nice and durable. What are you keeping in your bed? I have a bunch of survival type gear in a milk crate. Can never be too prepared!

The cover has been on my truck for a little over a year now. It looks exactly as it did the day I installed it. By far the best tonneau cover I have ever put on one of my trucks. Also, the roll up is much more convenient than the older tri-fold models I have had before. This thing looks good and is tough as nails. It has not been babied over the last year, but shows no signs of weartear. My one year review is 5 STARS!! I highly recommend this cover!

My previous review still stands. I have to reposition cover at least once a month. Still love the cover other than that issue. I believe a redesign of the connector would be in order for this product to get 5 stars.

Not great anymore… the glued on waterproof liner started peeling up about 1 year into service, the the pivot points on the tool up part started to separate towards the back and now it doesn’t roll back flat or seal properly.

I had a second warranty claim in June 2023 due to the same issues. I contacted BAK warranty claims and once again they were quick to respond. I asked them to replace my cover with a BAKFLIP MX4. They agreed and shipped the replacement very quickly. So far the new cover is working fine. Im interested to see how it works in cold and freezing conditions. My personal belief is the BAK Revolver is too heavy when rolled up against the cab on an 8 foot bed. The weight causes it to flex, stressing the hinged ribs. The ribs then start to separate. Im guessing a cover for a shorter bed would not cause the ribs to separate due to less weight when rolled up.

Two years in and still very pleased. I get compliments frequently for the tidy appearance and minimal bed capacity impact. One more gotcha I should note: when below freezing, it’s rigid and can be difficult to roll away. Generally a minor issue for me in the mid-Atlantic mid morning sun warms it enough that it’s OK. However, having spent time in NY last winter there were times I simply couldn’t roll it away without concern about damage. If you’re in a more northerly climate, be aware.

After one year of owning and using this thing is still amazing. It may have faded just a little bit but looks great and is holding up extremely well.

I have bought two of these toppers. I like the ability to throw stuff on top while I open the tail gate and not worry about damaging it. It doesnt take up room in the bed when it is rolled up. It is secured with two straps and never contacts the cab. It doesnt like being rolled up for extended travel. The tabs along the side that fit into the rails come out and prevent the topper from fitting flush into the rails.
