When you need to haul big items like lumber or gear, the MX4 makes it easy. Its tri-fold aluminum panels flip up in sections so you can open part or all of the bed without taking the cover off. Built-in prop rods hold the folded panels upright so you can drive with the bed completely open. The low-profile design sits inside the bed rails for a clean, flush look that still lets you use stake-pocket accessories or racks.
Keeping your gear safe is simple with the MX4. Each panel automatically latches when you close it, and once you lock the tailgate, the bed is fully secured. There’s no need for extra locks or keys. The rear seal is designed so you can open and close the tailgate whether the cover is up or down, giving you quick access when you need it without compromising security.
Rain, snow, and sun don’t stand a chance against the MX4’s sealing system. Matte black rubber seals and a built-in drainage system channel water out and help keep your cargo dry. The rustproof aluminum panels have a premium density foam core for added strength and insulation, while the matte black finish resists scratches, scuffs, and UV damage. It’s built to handle harsh conditions year after year.
The MX4’s aircraft-grade, rustproof aluminum panels are 1/2" thick and can support up to 400 lbs of evenly distributed weight. You get strength and durability without extra bulk. The powder-coated aluminum rails form a sturdy base that clamps onto the bed—no drilling required—so installation is quick and solid.
If you run racks or overland setups, the MX4 works right alongside them. Because it mounts inside the bed rails, it stays out of the way of most top-rail systems. It’s also compatible with the BakBox2 (sold separately) and confirmed to pair with the TruXedo Elevate Truck Bed Rack System for even more hauling options.

The BAKFlip after 2 years is still functioning great. I fixed the curling cushion by applying some strong adhesive to the spots that had detached, taped it in place and let cure for a couple of days. That solved that issue. Would continue to recommend the BAKFlip to others.

You mentioned that the glue holding the pads are failing. I wanted to see if you would be able to send a picture to show the locations.

Thanks for the great feedback! We're glad you're enjoying the tonneau cover and that being able to use almost the entire truck bed when it's open has been such a big plus. It's also nice knowing your gear stays secure when you lock the tailgate. We appreciate you mentioning the clamps too—that kind of feedback is always helpful. Thanks again, and we hope you keep enjoying your new cover!
