Hauling big gear doesn’t mean you have to remove the cover. The BAKFlip G2 folds up panel by panel, so you can open part or all of the bed in seconds. Prop rods hold the panels upright against the cab when you need the full bed open, and rubber bumpers protect the cab glass. Built-in straps let you secure it halfway so you can still see out the rear window while driving.
Keeping gear safe is simple with the G2’s automatic latching system. Each panel locks down securely under its own weight, and when the tailgate is closed and locked, the bed is sealed shut. The solid aluminum panels can’t be peeled up or cut through, so tools and cargo stay protected from would-be thieves and weather alike.
The G2 uses ½-inch thick, rustproof aluminum panels with insulated cores to keep moisture and temperature swings from damaging your load. Matte black rubber seals run along every edge, while the built-in gutter system channels any stray water to drain hoses behind the cab. The textured black paint and UV-resistant finish stand up to sun, snow, and road grime year after year.
Opening and closing this cover doesn’t take muscle or extra tools. Pull either release cord at the rear and both latches disengage instantly. Fold the panels forward, and the nylon-housed aluminum hinges glide smoothly the whole way. To close it, just fold the panels back down—the latches snap into place automatically.
Mounting the cover takes just a wrench—no holes to drill. The aircraft-grade aluminum frame rails clamp inside the bed rails, leaving stake pockets open for accessories. Slotted brackets on the hinge rail let you fine-tune the fit so the cover sits flush and seals tight across the bed.

After using it for a while Im extremely happy with this cover. It has been a game changer, making my 2008 Ford Ranger bed far more useable and convenient for carrying a variety of items. One of the best purchases Ive ever made for it.

Hi Mardy. I have heard this to be a difficult install and the latches to be stiff (though adjusting them helps), but noisy, flimsy, and poor quality are firsts for a BAK product like this. What kind of noise are you getting? Is something maybe not tightened down all the way causing part to stick up? And, what part are you finding flimsy or poor quality?

After year of use I love the tonneau cover. had issues installing but after using for a year I would give it a five star.

Actually its closer to two years and I could not be more pleased. I have done a few rainy road trips and the one thing that worried me was if it would keep the contents dry and it did. Al else about the cover has been good too. Good product and it fit like a glove.

Generally this cover continues to perform well. There is a small leak, which I haven’t been able to locate, but it’s not enough to do any harm to whatever may be in the bed. I would still recommend this cover.

It has been holding on strong. One of the weather strips was coming undone, but I was able to adhere it back down.
