Has met and surpassed the steel box that was on the truck before I installed this DeeZee box. The fact that I removed a steel box , and put on aluminum concerned me at first. However; A year in I have no doubt that it was the right decision.
i think it's a good tool box, but you need to up grade the chain on the tool box. the one I have the chain has already broken on both sides. we had to redo the chains on the box.
Very well made product. Worked perfectly for storage on the rear of our travel trailer.
I recommend this storage box without reservation to anyone needing such an item.

They look descent but honestly the quality is not there for the price. The chain system for holding the door in place and door side bracket they use to mount it, JUNK, cheap and poorly done. The chain was hooked to a drilled hole with about 1/8" of aluminum to hold it on. It ripped right through there the 2nd day and litterally only from the weight of its own door. The door reveal is also off and it would take bending the doors to straighten them out which i don't want to risk breakage. Not water tight as the door does not seal all the way around because of the door being off. They look good but are a little on the cheap side as far as quality.

Utility box on my camper. This will be a great place to store power cord,water hoses and blocks and a lot easier to get too.
The thickness of aluminum is great value for the price.
i returned the brackets and fashioned my own since one size didn't fit all.
the aluminum cargo bays (one on each side) are a great addition- glad i got them they are very handy and always in use.
