Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this Tire Linc Tire Pressure Monitoring System Alert Indicator. This is going to pair with your Tire Linc Tire Pressure Monitoring System which is sold separately, but it is going to help provide your notifications from that system even if you don't have the OneControl app open on your phone. This will still give you all those same alerts, just in a more simplistic form. So, as you're driving down the road, if you forget to open up the app on your trip, you'll be able to still see whether your tires are having a problem or if they're in good condition.
This will provide a nice clear indicator in the LED light here. Depending on the color, it will alert you to the tire pressure is good if it's green, if it's yellow, it means that the unit can't detect your system. So there's a disconnect between the unit and your Repeater, or if it's red, you know your tire pressure or temperature is outside of the designated range, so it needs attention. So, it's gonna give you those visual cues. It's also going to give you audible alerts.
It will beep for 10 seconds with an. If an issue occurs with your tires, it will then continually blink to indicate that the issue has not been corrected. So, if you are driving down the road with that Tire Linc system, this is can be nice to have to make sure that even if your app closes on you or something, there's an error that occurs. This is going to be a nice backup option so you always have eyes on those tires. This is going to be very easy to get plugged in.
It's got a USB cord that's gonna plug into the device and then any of your USB plugin options. As far as mounting it, they include a suction cup here that you can just slide into the back to mount it onto a windshield or any flat surface like that. Where they also include these hook and loop strips that have an adhesive backing on the back so you can just kinda adhere that onto the back there and then onto your windshield or wherever that you'd want to mount that. And then you have the option to temporarily install it and kind of pull it back off if you want to move it or something along those lines. As far as getting it set up, it's going to be extremely simple.
They include instructions for you to basically just pressing the button to get it paired to your monitoring system and you're ready to go. So, if you are wanting a kind of a backup option rather than having to use that OneControl app all the time and this is going to be a great option. Very easy to get linked to your monitoring systems so that you always have eyes on those tires. That's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. The alert indicator was a great add on to the TPMS system that was purchased. Provides an easy audible and light indication that makes the TPMS system easier to monitor over the phone app. A must have product.
I linked the remote to my Lippert Tire Linc and it seems to be working just great. I just mounted the remote on my rear view mirror with the suction cup. It allows me to keep an eye on my 5th wheel tires without having to open the OneControl app on my phone.
The only complaints I have, there is no way to turn this unit off when not needed, that I have found. It can be a PITA to set up due to printed instructions being wrong. A call to Lippert and they made it happen without issue. This unit is a must have! Do not rely on your phone to alert you of a tire issue. Again this is a must have!
