When the snow piles up and you need traction right away, these Konig Easy Fit chains live up to their name. Just drape the chain over your tire and press the built-in pedal to tension it automatically—no crawling on the ground, no handling cold metal links. The chain finishes self-centering after a full tire rotation, so you’re ready to roll in seconds.

Each link bites firmly into snow and light ice, giving steady grip without the harsh ride of ladder-style chains. The diamond pattern spreads out the contact points for smoother traction and better cornering, which helps on winding, icy roads. The smaller square links keep vibration low so your drive feels balanced even in bad weather.
These chains are built for vehicles with tight clearance and nice rims. The soft-touch liner and nylon bumpers keep metal from touching your wheels, while the powder-coated side chain won’t scratch like bare steel. Even the tension bar has a cushioned backing to prevent marks, so you get traction without sacrificing your wheel finish.
Handmade from hardened manganese nickel alloy steel, these chains resist rust and wear season after season. The rugged steel links handle repeated use in snow and slush, while the lightweight aluminum tensioning element stays corrosion-free. Every part is engineered for long-term durability and smooth function when conditions get rough.
For vehicles with limited wheel-well clearance, these chains meet SAE Class S standards and need just 7/8" of internal clearance. That low-profile fit gives you reliable traction in deep snow without interference against your wheel wells—ideal for modern passenger vehicles that don’t have much room to spare.

These chains fit the following tire sizes:

Due to the lack of snow in our area, I have only used them one other time so far. But I’m still really glad we have them and everything in my review I still agree with.

Going on the 2nd winter of my 4th set now. I use the CU-9s during and after snow storms on the rural roads where I live. I take them off when encountering roads with little to no snow. Cant drive with these on bare pavement. I have to use my CU-9s in snow thats only 2 to 3 in. deep. I drive a small two-seater w rear-wheel drive that hasnt much traction even with best of snow tires. With the CU-9s, however that all changes. Ive driven up icy hills passing other vehicles that couldnt make it.

These chains will be a solid choice for moderate snow and ice. They will not work as well as a heavier chain for heavy snow however they only require 10 mm of clearance to install. They are designed to securely stay on the tire. I recommend viewing our video install on a 2019 Toyota Highlander.
