This Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector makes hooking up trailer lights straightforward. It uses original OEM-style connectors that plug directly into the existing vehicle wiring. There’s no cutting, taping, or splicing needed—just connect both ends until the locking tabs click into place and it’s ready to go.
The harness tucks behind the rear interior panel for a clean setup. You can keep the 4-flat plug inside until towing time or route it permanently outside through an existing rubber grommet. That keeps the wiring protected from the elements and avoids drilling new holes.
The integrated powered converter ensures proper signal transfer from the vehicle to the trailer lights. It includes circuit protection that keeps both systems safe if a short or overload occurs. The converter is designed to handle up to 2.1 amps per side for stop and turn signals and up to 4 amps total for running lights, giving you dependable lighting every trip.
The standard 4-pole flat connector provides the basic lighting functions—running lights, turn signals, and brake lights—so small and mid-size trailers can be safely towed. Compatible accessories like a 48-inch extension loop or a mounting bracket can be added when you want more reach or a fixed outside mount.

I have not used the harness yet, but did test the connections via volt meter & everything checked out. . . .
Item was exactly what I needed to pull utility trailer behind my 2001 Grand Cherokee. It fit the existing Jeep plug exactly and was delivered quickly.
Plug-n-tow wiring connector was easy to connect, Not too bad to route. Could use a little more length.
Curt hitch install video was excellent, made it look easy. The bolt at the gas tank strap was a pain and had to get special 18mm socket. Had everything but in my toolbox! Nice product still.
