Features to know about

Installs Cleanly with No Cutting: Plug-In 4-Pole Connector

Hooking up trailer lights doesn’t have to mean splicing wires. This Curt T-Connector plugs right into the factory tow package connection to give you a ready-to-use 4-flat trailer connector. It’s plug-and-play, so you skip the guesswork and keep the vehicle wiring intact.

Protects Vehicle Circuits: Powered Converter Rated for 3 Amps per Circuit

The built-in powered converter keeps your vehicle’s electrical system safe while running the trailer lights. It’s rated for 3 amps per circuit for turn and brake lights and 6 amps total for tail lights. That means it delivers consistent power without overloading the vehicle wiring, even when you’re running multiple lights on the trailer.

Mounts Securely Out of Harm’s Way: Weather-Protected Converter Box

The black converter box mounts underneath the vehicle in a clean, flat spot away from tire spray. It attaches with double-sided tape on a dry surface so it stays out of the elements and functions reliably trip after trip.

Delivers Reliable Trailer Lighting: Solid Grounds and Clean Connections

Good grounding makes all the difference in steady trailer lighting. This harness is designed to use clean, corrosion-free ground points for both vehicle and trailer sides, giving you dependable signals for brakes, turns, and running lights every time you tow.

Direct plug and play for my 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited. I made a mounting tab for the plug on the hitch receiver to keep it tucked away and clean looking.

I wanted to make sure that your 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe has the factory tow package? Would you be able to send a picture of the connector that you are seeing?

by:

I buy all of my trailer and towing needs from etrailer. Fast and accurate service and competitive prices. They have never failed to complete my purchases. A Big Thank You to all of the folks at etrailer!

by:

Fits a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe perfectly. Trouble free installation. Make sure to get a connector mounting bracket, it doesn't come with the wiring set.

by:

The Santa Fe 2010 Limited is prewired for a wire harness. There are two capped male plugs under and behind the bumper on the driver's side. They are very accessible. When you remove the caps there is a rubber seal or grommet inside. They should come out and stay inside the cap. If the grommet stays inside the male plug it will block the plugs from sliding together completely. Once the harness is plugged in it is easy to route inside the bumper. I stuck the converter to the inside of the bumper using the double stick patch. It is pretty clean there and seems secure.

by:

Good product. My vehicle was pre-wired to accept this wiring harness. It was very easy to install, took me about 15 minutes. Instructions were very easy to follow.

by:

Hope this trailer light wiring Harness lasts longer then the previous one purchased from etrailer. On the good note hooked up this harness took less then 5 minutes start to finish everything work Great, Thanks

by:

Works great on my 2011 Santa Fe with the OEM tow package.

Couple notes:

1. One of the factory connectors (on the car side) had an orange gasket in the connector. This prevented the connector from seating properly and locking in place. I couldn't see a reason for the gasket, so I removed it (with needle nose pliers), and it worked great.

2. The cable from the box to the 4-flat connector is really short. The only good place I could find to mount the box, left the cable too short to reach the hitch receiver. I zip tied it to the hitch bar 10" or so away from the receiver, and it works fine, but is a bit inconvenient to get to.

by:

Easy to install.
Works great.

by:

Great product and communication

by:

Item is working still working after almost a year. Definitely worth the money and easy to install.

Still working after more than a year. Has not failed me yet.

by:

It fit perfect

by:

Couldn't be happier! Super quick shipping. Good price and clear instructions.
Only hard part was my existing frame nuts were a bit rusty and dirty and it made threading the bolts slightly difficult.

by:

Super easy to put on. Works like a charm

by:

Just plugged it in to factory plugs an worked perfectly.

by:

Super easy to install. Directions were accurate and easy to follow.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe with Spare Tire Under Vehicle
Both the Curt Class III Round Tube Receiver Hitch # C13073 and Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 75684 are confirmed to fit your 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe as long as it does not have the dual exhaust. Because of its cross tube design, the Curt Class III # C13073 is going to allow for easier access to the spare tire mounted under the vehicle. I have attached a couple of images so you can better see the comparison between the two hitches. The Curt Hitch is a great option for your...

  • 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation
The only sure way to know if a vehicle came with a tow package is to contact a Hyundai dealer with your VIN. With that info they will be able to tell if your vehicle came with the tow package. If your vehicle came with a factory hitch there is a good chance you have the tow package. Or if you find the connection point for the Curt Harness part # C56346 and test the pins with a circuit tester like part # 3808 you can verify if this harness would work. It should be right under the rear of...

  • Parts Needed to Install the Curt Discovery Brake Controller # C51120 on a 2013 Dodge Durango
The Curt Discovery Trailer Brake Controller, # C84VV, and the Custom Wiring Adapter, # C51446, will work on your 2013 Dodge Durango without splicing as long as your Durango came with a factory 7-way trailer connector at the trailer hitch. The 7-way trailer connector would indicate that your truck has the factory tow package, which would include a brake controller plug under the drivers side dash. You should see a gray connector just to the left of the steering column. If your Durango does...

  • Where Does the Converter Box for Curt Wiring Harness C56346 Mount on a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
The converter box for Curt wiring harness # C56346 was indeed meant to be mounted outside of the vehicle, underneath where it will be away from tire spray and the elements in general. If I may quote the instructions which I have also linked: Adhere the black converter box to the underside of the vehicle in a secure out of the way location using the double sided tape provided. Find a flat, clean surface that is out of the path of road spray from the tires. You could further protect the...

  • Trailer Lights Work Intermittently on a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe with Curt Trailer Wiring Harness
It could be an issue with the trailer lights drawing more power than the wiring harness is rated for. But it also sounds like a ground issue. Ground problems normally show up when there is more draw on a system such as when you have the running lights on and then use another function like a turn signal or brake light. Make sure that the vehicle side and trailer side connectors are clean and free of corrosion inside and out. The main connector grounds should be attached to clean and corrosion...
