Hooking up trailer lights doesn’t have to mean splicing wires. This Curt T-Connector plugs right into the factory tow package connection to give you a ready-to-use 4-flat trailer connector. It’s plug-and-play, so you skip the guesswork and keep the vehicle wiring intact.
The built-in powered converter keeps your vehicle’s electrical system safe while running the trailer lights. It’s rated for 3 amps per circuit for turn and brake lights and 6 amps total for tail lights. That means it delivers consistent power without overloading the vehicle wiring, even when you’re running multiple lights on the trailer.
The black converter box mounts underneath the vehicle in a clean, flat spot away from tire spray. It attaches with double-sided tape on a dry surface so it stays out of the elements and functions reliably trip after trip.

Not getting power to my trailer

Direct plug and play for my 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited. I made a mounting tab for the plug on the hitch receiver to keep it tucked away and clean looking.

The small connector with the 2 wires will not connect and clip to lock it. Way to tight need a difference connection.

I wanted to make sure that your 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe has the factory tow package? Would you be able to send a picture of the connector that you are seeing?

Fits a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe perfectly. Trouble free installation. Make sure to get a connector mounting bracket, it doesn't come with the wiring set.
The Santa Fe 2010 Limited is prewired for a wire harness. There are two capped male plugs under and behind the bumper on the driver's side. They are very accessible. When you remove the caps there is a rubber seal or grommet inside. They should come out and stay inside the cap. If the grommet stays inside the male plug it will block the plugs from sliding together completely. Once the harness is plugged in it is easy to route inside the bumper. I stuck the converter to the inside of the bumper using the double stick patch. It is pretty clean there and seems secure.
Good product. My vehicle was pre-wired to accept this wiring harness. It was very easy to install, took me about 15 minutes. Instructions were very easy to follow.
Hope this trailer light wiring Harness lasts longer then the previous one purchased from etrailer. On the good note hooked up this harness took less then 5 minutes start to finish everything work Great, Thanks
Works great on my 2011 Santa Fe with the OEM tow package.
Couple notes:
1. One of the factory connectors (on the car side) had an orange gasket in the connector. This prevented the connector from seating properly and locking in place. I couldn't see a reason for the gasket, so I removed it (with needle nose pliers), and it worked great.
2. The cable from the box to the 4-flat connector is really short. The only good place I could find to mount the box, left the cable too short to reach the hitch receiver. I zip tied it to the hitch bar 10" or so away from the receiver, and it works fine, but is a bit inconvenient to get to.

Only hard part was my existing frame nuts were a bit rusty and dirty and it made threading the bolts slightly difficult.
